Hey, it's Aeolus, I snuck back in here while Serena was taking a break. She told you her side of the story? Ha, mine was much different. So I broke down Serena's power for her, but Basically, her shadow magic manipulates concepts, as well as people's minds. My light magic manipulates physical things, instead of people's minds, thoughts, and memories, I manipulate their bodies. Anyways, I guess the first thing y'all need to hear my side of is when I was frozen. Basically, when the demon attacked and Serena put out my fire stones, It was like I was transported to another world. I saw memories of someone who looked like Serena, and someone who looked like me. Some of those memories were of us together. And some of just me. I wasn't sure how, but somehow I knew that these people were other versions of us. Some of those memories made me blush. I knew about the prophecy, bound by love and fate, but it was weird to see the two of kind-of-us together. I think she needs to be more careful, and she thinks I'm an idiot. I vaguely knew Serena was in front of me in the clearing, crying. But I couldn't do anything about it. New knowledge was pouring into me. The elders, the portal, details of the prophecy, how we had died. When I eventually did unfreeze and Serena was still crying in front of me, I felt like a new person, more like the brave, funny person I had been in my past life, than the timid, careful person I usually was. When I said her name, I saw relief flood through her face, and then anger. You know the rest. After she changed the location of the portal, I could feel something was different. I didn't know what her original destination was, but when I came out the other side, and didn't see her, I figured she had found a way to change it. I started walking back toward the reserve. When I got there, Serena was gone, but I had seen her footprints in the mud, so I knew she had come back. You know all about that, we're reincarnations of some ancient guardians, and so on and so forth. After she fell asleep, I sat out in the clearing and closed my eyes. I had discovered that if I concentrated hard enough, I could see moments from my past life. I focused on trying to learn more about what Serena could do. Before I got too deep into the memories, I grabbed a notepad and pen. I figured Serena would have mixed feelings about this, but I wanted to write down what I had learned. I knew she wanted to know what in all she could do, but she wouldn't be happy about me spying on her past life. I sat down, and concentrated again, pen ready. I had a very useful skill of writing with my eyes closed, even if I'm concentrating on something else. (Oh hello Serena, um, you know what, I'm not even going to deny it. I'm putting another chapter in. They need to know my side of this whole thing too. If you are going to be in here while I am recording, you can sit down and be quiet, don't you hit me.) Sorry, but yeah, anyways, I concentrated on the memories of my past self. Focusing on moments with Serena's past self, and her magic. As battle scenes played out in my mind, I scribbled notes on what I saw, which by the way, was pretty impressive. (No Serena, I didn't leave anything off of those notes, you deserved to know.) I watched as a demon froze, briefly glowing blue and orange, what had been a snarl of anger on its face turned content and blank, as its eyes closed, and it fell to the ground, it was still breathing, just in a comatose-like stasis. Serena's former self walked over to it, whispered something in its ear, and suddenly it woke, but instead of turning on her, it spun to fight off the other demons, five of them now, the sixth fought with all the strength it had fought with before, possibly more, but now it was fighting its former allies. Interesting, I scribbled stasis, and mind control on the notepad, and moved on to another memory, there, she was using portals. We already knew about that, but I wrote it down anyway. In another memory, her head was cocked to the side, and she looked at a man with an accusing glare. When she spoke, she told him that his thoughts were full of hate, despair, and greed. The man's face was full of shock. She could read minds, I wrote it down, and moved on to another memory. Here, she was smiling at me, we seemed to be in the middle of the african plains. And suddenly, my vision was filled with golden fur, she yelled in rage, and the memory seemed to become a movie, rewinding until before the lion attacked, and then she was standing there, smiling at me again, she flung out her hand, and the memory shifted so that I was looking behind me, the lion was frozen, it's eyes going foggy, it too, like the demon, glowed blue and orange faintly, and just like the demon, it fell into a coma, right there on the plains. She walked over to it, and spoke, not whispering like she had to the demon, and I could make out what she said. "Mighty beast, you have wronged me. For now you sleep, but you will wake at my command. When you do, you will remember nothing of this moment. You will remember only your mission, which is this, carry a bit of my power back to your pride, that power will give them your orders, which are these: two days forth, you and your pride will come to serve us, the journey is long, but do not fear, you will not grow tired, hungry, or thirsty until you reach us. We are your masters, you will do as we say, you will be released from service once you have atoned for hurting this man. Even once you are released from service, we may call you, your orders remain the same until your last days, if you are called to, come to us. Serve, but not attack. Attack no humans unless ordered to. Your pride will be safe once you join us. These orders are now a part of who you are, a part of your soul. Nobody can change that but me. Now, Mighty one, wake and obey!"The lion stood, groggily, and bowed to her. "Go, return to your pride. And forget you met us" she said, the lion purred, and took off across the savannah. "She can bring beings into her service. And erase memories!" I whispered. I scribbled it on the notepad, hoping that she would never use it on me, though I guess I wouldn't remember if she had. Many other memories and powers passed through my mind, but as I grew tired, the memories became more unclear, and I opened my eyes. It was dark out, and the sky was a sea of stars. I put away the pen and notepad, and went to sleep.
