After about two minutes of looking from one person to the next, we decided to just go through the portal together. On the other side, we stood in the middle of an ancient abandoned city, Mayan, by the looks of it. I surveyed the area, but all I saw were ruins. Suddenly, a strange feeling came over me, and I had a strong urge to undo any long term mind control I had used on the group. I saw a shiver pass through the group, and a few of them crouched down and began to breathe heavily. I could suddenly sense the thoughts of everyone around me. Some confusion, but mostly just tired. I started to say "Guys-" when the clearing began to darken. I looked to the sky and saw that the moon was partially covering the sun. The strange effect that caused me to do a double take and reevaluate our surroundings. Aeolus was taller, his hair shorter, and he was wearing armor as white as his hair, and it seemed to glow like his eyes. He looked over at me, and I realized I was looking at a completely different Aeolus. He was older, the glow in his eyes brighter than ever. At the confused look on his face, I looked down and noticed I was wearing a dress similar to the one Morgana had been wearing when she had given me my newfound power. But mine was navy blue with the swirling gold patterns. As the moon continued to cover the sun, the ruins began to reform into the majestic buildings they once were. As I looked across our group of friends, I noticed they too had grown up, and were wearing armor. Each set of armor with different colors that seemed to represent what kind of magic it's wearer possessed. The one that most caught my eye was Elena's. It seemed to have two extra protection plates on the back, although they didn't seem to be metal, they looked like feathers! Before I could even finish the thought, the wings unfurled with a spectacular burst of flame. The wings were still engulfed in flame as Elena spun around, trying to look at the wings, but as she did so, one of the wings almost incinerated Reggie.

"Hey! Be Careful!" his voice was angry, but there was a glimmer in his eyes. He was enjoying the adventure.

"¡Lo Siento!" she calmed down, stood still, and took a deep breath, and the wings' flames were extinguished as they folded back into her armor

"Okay, now that is cool." Cruz said. His armor was blue with green accents. Strapped across his back I could see an ax with an unusually long handle. Everyone except Elena and Nessa had a new weapon. Weapons were secured at waists and backs all throughout our group. I was holding my magic Katanas and Aeolus had a huge, medieval looking shield, Dylan had a sword with a pommel that looked like a sun made of glass. I didn't have time to inspect everyone else's weapons as a roar erupted from behind us. I spun around, almost tripping on my dress. The biggest demon I had ever seen burst out from behind one of the ruins. Instantly, Everyone went into defense mode. Aeolus took his shield from his back and held it in front of him. I held up my Katanas, and Elena's wings unfurled, bursting into flame. But the demon didn't try to attack, instead it roared, a deep, resounding rumble that seemed to spread across the world. Even then, it didn't advance, it just stood there, watching us, until thousands of demons emerged from the trees behind the ruins, Demons made of earth, fire, and water and the wind whipped up around us. Loki growled beside Pax, and the flames on Elena's wings grew and brightened. The clearing continued to darken, and it became harder to make out the demons. I felt a hand grip mine, and looked over to see Aeolus beside me, determination in his eyes. When he spoke, I barely recognized his voice.

"Hey, we got this." the look in his eyes, I realized I wasn't talking to Aeolus. I was talking to Rexton. And I grew angry, some past version of my best friend was taking over his body. Nope, not happening. I slipped into Rexton's mind, but before I could do anything, a voice in my head said, Don't. I ignored the voice, and made Rexton's mind fall asleep. I looked back over at Aeolus and saw him struggling to keep his eyes open. I woke up Rexton and Aeolus focused again. They're the same person! I thought. Temporarily, yes. I suddenly recognized the voice in my mind, it was Morgana! What are you doing in my head? The voice responded, Helping. Before I could respond, the demons charged. I turned from Aeolus and he let go of my hand. I raised my Katanas, Dylan readied his sword, and Elena took up a fighting stance. The demons closed in from every side, we all fought ten or more at a time. I stole glances at my allies between fighting for my life and realised we weren't getting completely destroyed. (Well good morning Aeolus, you fell asleep recording last night. I'm recording now, so shut up and let me talk.) Dylan's sword glowed with light as he drove it into the demons' guts. Elena had taken to the air and was fighting what looked like clouds, until I realized that the clouds had humanoid forms and were fighting back. Cruz was taking on four earth demons at once, blocking with the handle of his ax, and attacking with the blade. Nessa was fighting with the hunting blade he had tried to kill us with back in Ireland. Khonsu was fighting with a curved sword I recognized as a Khopesh, a popular weapon in ancient egypt. (Yes fine Aeolus, I am a bit of a history nerd, but that doesn't matter, what matters is that the sword looked awesome.) it had Hieroglyphs glowing along the side, I saw an ankh, an eye of Horus and a few others I didn't recognize. I turned my focus from my allies to a demon charging me, though their numbers were thinning, there were still hundreds of demons for us to fight. Our team was holding strong, but I could tell that they were starting to grow tired, and I was too. Our only sources of light were the intense glow of Dylan's sword, and Aeolus' shield, which made it even harder to see the demons. I fought mercilessly, slicing, jabbing and stabbing demons with my katanas. We fought for what seemed like only minutes. But by the time there were only ten or fifteen demons left, the eclipse was almost total. The others were fighting their last demons and I was still fighting five. Aeolus finished off the demon he was fighting with a burst of light and rushed over to help me, but before he got to me I said "No!" and he stopped, looking confused. I wanted to fight with Aeolus, not Rexton, and right now, I couldn't tell who he was/ I heard Morgana's voice in my head saying, It doesn't matter who he is if he can help you fight! I ignored her, and drove the katana in my left hand into the heart of a fire demon, while using the sword in my right hand to decapitate an earth demon. Two down, three to go. Two earth demons and a fire demon. I soaked the fire demon, and set the earth demons on fire. Before running the two earth demons through with spears made of shadow magic.I froze the demon and entered it's mind forcing the location of the elders out of its mind, before'driving A katana through its head and into the ground. The demon disintegrated as the sword went through it.I ended up on one knee with one Katana halfway exposed above the ground, and the other lay on the ground next to my leg. I heard the sound of fire demons disintegrating and footsteps approaching, and I looked up to see the rest of the group approaching. I grabbed my katanas and stood, looking over the group.. They seemed tired, but unhurt.

"I know where the elders are. Let's go." We had ten, maybe fifteen minutes until the eclipse was total. I looked at the biggest structure of the no-longer-ruins, one of those huge pyramids you usually see when they show ruins. I pointed to it. "There, that's where we need to go."
