Hey, Serena again! So yeah, we found out that River also had water magic. I know, right? River has water magic. a little on the nose isn't it? Whatever, the universe has a strange sense of humor. Resuming where Aeolus left off, I had just told River about her water magic.
"WHAT?!" I couldn't tell if she was excited, or confused or something else.
"Yeah-" Aeolus said "I know, it's weird-"
"Weird? It's awesome." Excited, good to know... "I have air magic like Aeolus, and magic that matches my name!"
"Ok then, we are going to need to rethink our training method. You will need to learn to control your air magic, as well as your water magic." Aeolus said, I nodded in agreement.
"We will train four days a week, two days with me, two days with Aeolus. Monday and Wednesday you will train with me, and Friday and Sunday you will train with Aeolus. But for now, we are done with training for today, tomorrow is Monday, your first day of training with me. Get ready, I'm going to make you train until you can't move." Aeolus and River both sent me identical worried looks, and I laughed. "Don't worry, I'm kidding- mostly." The looks on their faces were exactly the same. It was priceless, I couldn't help it, I burst into laughter.
"What's so funny?"
"Your expressions!" I steadied myself and tried to breathe, but I couldn't stop laughing. I tried to enter my own mind, to try to use mind control on myself, but it didn't work. Meanwhile, Aeolus and River stood by and looked at me like I had gone insane while Aeolus' eyes seemed to glow blue, River's glowed the same green as her eyes Eventually, I made myself stop laughing, and straightened. "Sorry."
"That was a lot of laughing, can you breathe?" Aeolus asked
"Kinda?"
"Is that a question or an answer?"
"Yes." he rolled his eyes
"That isn't an answer."
"Well it's all you'll get out of me." I turned to River "You need to get some rest, tomorrow, we train." There was so much excitement in River's eyes, I thought she might literally jump for joy.it was only like four in the afternoon, but I could tell by the way River walked that she was tired, she was only seven, and she had just done magic for the first time. Aeolus watched her walk into her tent, and then turned back to me.
"Don't train her but so hard tomorrow please, she is so young and-" There was a splitting pain in my head, and I staggered back. Instantly, he was at my side, and there was a steadying hand on my shoulder. "Woah- what was that? Are you alright?"
"I'm fine," I concentrated on the mental safe and upgraded it again. I'd had to do so a few times in the past week, but nobody had been around when the Blankness had started to weaken the mind safe. The pain in my head subsided, and I shrugged Aeolus' hand off my shoulder "just a headache." He walked in front of me and crossed his arms.
"That was not a headache, headaches don't make you stagger. Come on, I'm your best friend, tell me what's going on." I sighed, he wasn't going to back down.
"Fine, sit down." The table was a few feet away, we walked to it and we sat down, and I continued. "It's the Blankness," at his confused look I explained, "It's the name I decided on for that strange thing I took out of River, put in you, and then took back out of you." he nodded. "I have it safely locked in my head, but every once in a while, it tries to get out, and that's when I get those headaches." He stood up and grabbed my hand
"We need to figure out how to get it out of you."
"How?"
"Put it in something else?"
