Elementals Book one Light and Shadow

I opened the portal and we went through, coming out the other side in the library from my vision. In front of us was Elena, so absorbed in her book she didn't even notice us, she seemed to be about my age, with caramel colored hair that fell over her amber eyes.

"Elena?" She jumped,

"Sí? puedo ayudarte?"

"Um, mi no habla español." I said, trying to remember my sixth grade spanish education, I was fifteen, I didn't remember most of it

"Oh, American." She said in heavily accented english "How can I help you?" I showed her my mark, and the others did likewise, Nessa's was a dark flame. Elena's eyebrows raised, and she showed us her own mark, it looked like a flame under a cloud.

"Fire and air magic?" I guessed. She nodded

"I have never seen so many elementales in one place."

"We are building the army." Aeolus said

"Does that mean?"

"Yes, we are the guardians."

"But please don't treat us differently because of that." I cut in. Elena nodded. "Elena, we need your help."

"Please, call me E. You want me to join your army?" A woman came around the corner and said

"Elena, quiénes son? ¿Qué es eso de unirse a un ejército?"

"Mamà, these are other Elementals, this one, and this one-" She pointed to me and Aeolus "They are the Guardianes, they need my help to fulfill the prophecy." The woman, who I guessed was Elena's mom, lowered her collar and showed us her mark, a cloud.

"Ma'am, I know that this is a lot, but my magic gave me a vision of your daughter, she will be an important part of our army. I know it." I showed her my mark.

"Very well but you bring my Niñita home safely. Understood?"

"Yes Ma'am." she nodded to Elena

"You stay safe mi hija."

"I will Mamà." Elena's mom kissed her on the top of her head

"Now go, save the world." she nodded, and I had a new vision, across the ocean to Egypt. A boy a few years older than me stood looking at one of the great pyramids. Khonsu. He mumbled something that sounded like,

"The wind and sand speak your name Khonsu, someone needs your help, they are coming." the vision ended, and back in the library, Elena's mother was handing her a bookbag

"Stay safe my little foal."

"Aye, Mamà!" Her mom smiled

"Do you have more help? Would you like me to come?"

"Thank you ma'am, but we are venturing to all corners of the world, continuing to build our army."

"Where will you go next?"

"Egypt ma'am"

"Please, call me Luna. and travel safely, have you made travel arrangements?"

"I have that covered."

"Very well."

I turned around and focused on opening a portal to the pyramids in egypt. When it opened, I gestured for Elena to go through first.

"Adìos mamà"

"Adìos mi amor." Elena went through the portal, and we followed.
