On the other side of the portal was a beautiful forest. Before I even got the chance to take it all in, Nessa jumped from behind the rock and tackled Cruz, he let out a shout of surprise and let go of my hand. I panicked and Nessa glowed blue and orange as Cruz kicked her off, she flew backwards and slammed into the big rock. I ran to her and checked her pulse, she was alive. I sighed with relief as a gentle breeze blew through the woods, making the leaves rustle, and moving Nessa's red hair, I saw that a patch of it was a darker red than the rest. More like blood than fire. Scared, I felt the back of her head as our allies walked closer. I looked at my hand, It was red with blood, quickly I checked her for other injuries. Her back didn't feel right, probably broken, and one of her ribs might have been cracked.

"AEOLUS!" I yelled, and he jogged over, telling the others to stay back

"Is she alright?"

"No. I didn't mean to, it just happened."

"What happened?"

"She is in stasis, and she is hurt."

"How did you put her in stasis without meaning to?"

"I- I don't know, I just panicked." I began to cry, although I didn't know why, I didn't know this girl. But I felt like it was my fault that she was hurt. Aeolus put a hand on my shoulder.

"Okay, okay, calm down, I can help with this, remember?"

"Yeah, yeah, okay. But it's her head, back, and ribs. This is a lot of healing to do, are you sure you can use that much light magic without- you know."

"I won't have to worry about that, I can't believe I am going to suggest this, but I don't know how to use this much magic at once, you've had more practice with using a lot of magic at once."

"What are you suggesting?"

"I want you to control me and my magic."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Go in my mind now, I will explain quickly and I will tell you when to start the mind control, but once you are controlling me I can't tell you what to do. So pay attention" I nodded and entered his mind, being sure to watch him for any sign of him being uncomfortable, but then he started giving instructions in his mind. Basically, I needed to order his mind to use healing magic, and then use my experience with using a lot of magic at once to do a large healing spell.

I could see the blank expression on his face, and I felt bad, I almost stopped the mind control. Then I looked at Nessa and got my courage back. I gave another command to Aeolus' mind and I could feel light magic fill his mind. It took me a moment, but I figured out how to form it into a large healing spell. I ordered Aeolus' mind to put the spell on the girl in front of him. He didn't know her name yet so I didn't want to mess it up. I watched a shimmering light cover Nessa, and a few moments later, the light dissipated. And I exited Aeolus' mind. I looked at him but his expression was still vacant, like there was nothing there, even the glow in his eyes was fainter. But a second or two later, he shook himself and looked at me, the glow in his eyes back.

"Did it work?"

"The mind control and me using light magic through you? Yes."

"And her?" he asked, gesturing to Nessa
