After a couple hours of small talk with the adults, Nate, Brandi, Austin, and Levi decided to go outside, into the backyard, and have their own conversation, leaving the parents in the dining room.

It was once again that specific time in the evening. A cold and empty feeling settled onto each one of the four teenagers as they stepped foot onto the rather overgrown grass and settled down, forming a small circle.

"So what now?" Austin asked, bringing his knees up and wrapping his arms around them.

Brandi shrugged as she played with a blade of grass. "I don't know."

"What about a classic game of truth or dare?" Nate suggested and everyone seemed to be down with that.

"Alright, who goes fir-" Brandi began to say, but then, she was cut off by the dreary sound of her doorbell. "Who could that be? Nate, did you invite anyone else?"

"Not that I recall," he replied, looking confused as well.

Brandi pushed herself off of the ground and began walking back inside and towards her front door.

She undid all of the locks and swung the door open, only to be greeted by the smug-looking blonde that she absolutely despised.

She was about to slam the door right in his face, but he pushed past her before she got a chance to.

"Get out of my house," Brandi said in a low voice, not wanting her mother to hear her, but she had already gotten out of her seat and started walking towards the front door, so she had to get Drew to leave quickly.

"But I just got here."

"Drew, please just get out," she said, trying to plead with him, but he just smirked.

"I love it when you say my name."

"Just leave," she yelled, no longer able to contain her irritation towards him, just as her mother appeared beside her. She looked rather ticked off and somewhat embarrassed that her daughter was telling someone to leave in such a rude way.

"Brandi, where are your manners?" Beth scolded, placing her hands on her hips. "Are you a friend of hers?"

"I suppose so. Although, she doesn't really like me very much," Drew replied, putting his imaginary halo on and pretending to be well-mannered and not the cocky teenager that Brandi knew he was. It drove her insane.

Even though Brandi was under her own roof, where her own rules were to be applied, her mom was still the boss of her. "Honey, go fetch– I'm sorry, I didn't get your name."

"It's Drew, ma'am. Drew Dirksen."

"Honey, go get Drew a slice of cake and treat him like you would treat any other guest."

Brandi let out a loud groan, making her mother aware that she would obey, but wasn't happy about it at all. "Fine."

She led Drew into the kitchen where she gave him a slice of cake and both of them proceeded to the backyard where everyone was still gathered in a circle.

Nate immediately got up as soon as he saw the blonde of Drew's hair and greeted him with those high fives that teenage boys give each other.

"What brings you here?" Nate asked, smiling.

Drew didn't answer, though. Instead, he took a bite out of his slice of cake and closed his eyes, letting out a throaty moan. Brandi would be lying if she said that she wasn't a little turned on by this.
