5th October 1976After Laurie's little talk with Sirius, she felt much better. She had begun to let go of the fact that she would find nothing about a person if she hadn't even got their name.
She and Sirius had stayed in the library for a few hours simply discussing life.
Since then Laurie had noticed how Sirius was being a lot nicer to her. They still had their friendly banter and jokes but overall he was much softer when speaking to her and he always looked incredibly interested in whatever she was saying.
Right now, the group of seven were in the great hall. Today was the day that Gryffindor and Slytherin played against each other in Quidditch for the first time this year.
So naturally, everyone was bearing their house colours so house pride was prominent everywhere you looked in Hogwarts.
Laurie, Lily and Peter usually went all out on Quidditch days because three of their best friends played for the team.
James, Sirius and Marlene.
Remus on the other hand had to be forced to have his face painted or hold up a banner. He acted like he was unimpressed by the whole ordeal but everyone knew that he secretly loved it.
Laurie was wearing a striped knit jumper that had two shades of red going across it with her regular blue jeans and trainers, she had a red love heart painted on one cheek and a yellow one on the other and she had her hair tied up in a ponytail in a gold ribbon with a few strands loose around her face.
Lily was wearing a white shirt with a red and gold Gryffindor cardigan over it and a denim skirt with boots. She also had her face painted with yellow and red swirls.
Peter had sprayed his hair gold with washable dog safe hair spray he and the girls had found in sirius' bedside locker. He had his Gryffindor tie tied around his head and he was wearing one of james' old Quidditch jerseys.
Remus however, settled for red and yellow stripes on his face and sirius' Quidditch jersey, not wanting to go overboard.
Laurie usually got a bit nervous on Gryffindor vs Slytherin days. She knew how much the teams hated each other and how violent the games could get.
It didn't help that she had her best friends on Gryffindor but one of her other best friends on Slytherin.
Because of her nerves, she began to tap her foot vigorously under the table.
Sirius heard her foot tapping and abruptly put his foot on top of hers to stop the noise. His action made her look at him confused "it's annoying" was all he said to her his words only made her start to tap the other foot only louder this time, once again he placed his foot on hers and there was silence between them, they just looked at each other causing her to snicker which only ended in the both of them to burst out laughing.
He only laughed because she did frankly, he didn't know what she found so funny but to him, her laugh was the most angelic thing he had ever heard and was sure he'd listen to her laugh for hours on end and never get bored there was also a sense of pride that sparked in him that he was the one to make her laugh.
"What's so funny," lily asked from her spot beside Marlene.
"I- I don't know," said Laurie realising that she didn't even know what she was laughing at but still chuckled at the end of her sentence everyone gave each other unsure looks.
"Ok, Laur" James chuckled and went back to talking Remus' ear off about his tactics.
"James, don't you think we should head down to the Quidditch tent?" Marlene asked when she saw the rest of the team walking over to them.
"Yeah, let's go!" he said and they all stood up "No good luck kiss, Evans?" he sneakily added on.
"In your dreams, Potter" she rolled her eyes at him.
"Oh you're always in my dreams Lilyflower" James smirked.
"What about me? Won't you give me a good luck kiss Laur?" Sirius pouted at Laurie.
"Yeah, Maybe if you win" she laughed.
"I'll hold you to that"
"The only person that Laurie should be giving good luck kisses to is me, right babe?" Marlene butt in.
"Of course, darling" Laurie leaned in and pecked Marlene on the lips.
A peck that left Sirius complete speechless.
"Marlene I'll see you on the pitch and Laurie I'll see you later, goodbye" he breathed out quickly then caught up to the rest of the group.
The two girls just burst out into laughter.

The game was tight. The scores were currently at 110-90 to Gryffindor.
The two seekers were now head to head, both having seen the snitch. Everyone in the stands where on the edge of their seats waiting for one of them to finally grab it and win the game.
"It's close! Ohh Regulus Black is getting close!!" the commentator Lewis Jordan shouts.
The crowds began to cheer and shout, with only a couple of inches between Regulus black and Davies Bell.
"OH MERLIN! Davies did it! He's got the snitch! GRYFFINDOR WINS!!" Lewis announces and the Gryffindor stands go wild.
Remus, Lily, Peter and Laurie all run down the stairs of the stands to meet their friends on the pitch.
Everyone turned to look as Lily Evans ran straight in and hugged James Potter.
They held their hug for about thirty seconds until Lily looked around her and blushed with embarrassment so she ran and put her face on Marlene's shoulder.
Laurie and the boys hugged all of their friends.
"I suppose your good luck kiss worked," Marlene said with a smile as she bumped her hip with Lauries.
"Suppose it did" she smiled back.
Lily looked at Laurie with an open mouth, she then pointed between her and Sirius "did you..?"
"Oh Merlin, Lily no!" Laurie rolled her eyes at the redhead girl.
"She kissed me for good luck!" Marlene boasted "isn't that right black?" she laughed.
Sirius just scoffed at her. He didn't bring up the fact that Laurie said she might kiss him if he won and well... He had won. But he decided to leave that for later.
"Does this mean party in the common room then?" Peter asked.
"Obviously!" James shouted.
