The Gryffindor common room was chaotic. Music was playing loudly, lights were flashing, people were dancing, alcohol cups were sitting all over the place and there were people drunkenly snogging anywhere you turned.

The party had been going on hours.

The atmosphere was electric. It wasn't Gryffindors first win of the year but it was their first win to Slytherin of the year so the majority of the students were ecstatic.

Laurie was dancing with James to the song 'Killer Queen' by the band queen.

She wasn't too drunk. She was tipsy enough to let loose and enjoy herself. James on the other hand was completely plastered.

"SHE'S A KILLER QUEEN. GUNPOWDER, GUILLOTINE. DYNAMITE WITH A LASER BEAM. GUARANTEED TO BLOW YOUR MIND!" they both drunkenly sang and James pretended to play the riff on his air guitar.

When the song ended they both burst into laughter.

"I'm going to go sit down!" she shouted over the music.

"Alright! I'm going to go dancing with Peter!" he shouted back.

"Alright!"

Laurie walked over to the couches where Marlene and Remus were.

She still had her jumper on and her hair and face paint were the same only she had switched her jeans and trainers out for a white skirt and white gogo boots.

she breathlessly settled in a spot on the couch next to Gideon Prewett.

Gideon Prewett had short ginger hair. He was much taller than most of the boys his age, he had freckles all over his face and if you asked Laurie she would say he was handily one of the best looking boys at Hogwarts. He along with his twin and carbon copy Fabian Prewett.

Laurie and Gideon had been, you could say, snogging partners since their fourth year. They didn't fancy each other though it was more like they each thought the other was fit and never expected anything else.

Nonetheless, they had stopped their affairs at the end of last year when Gideon had told her that he had eyes for a certain scar-faced boy.

Remus liked him too, there was no doubt in Laurie mind. She had seen the glances that both boys would send. She had decided to stay out of it though, as much as she loved both of them and wanted them to be together she thought that meddling would just upset them both and that when they were comfortable they would tell each other their feelings.

Sirius watched Laurie laugh and joke with Gideon and a small scowl formed on his face.

"Jealous?" James snickered from beside him and nudged him with his elbow.

"Yeah" Sirius confessed.

James stopped laughing "Mate I was joking"

"I wasn't," he said while gulping his drink.

"Really? You like Laurie again" James smiled. He was happy for his friends. He had always thought they would balance each other out perfectly and to be honest he thought they both could do with a cheering up.

"I don't think I ever stopped. It's like no matter what other girls I'm with I can't help but wish it was her you know?" it felt good to get it off his chest, he hadn't told a soul since his third year when he had just started to feel things for Laurie.

"I know" James nodded while looking a Lily.

"Look at us! Two fucking lovesick idiots!" Sirius huffed.
