Laurie stood in front of the mirror that was in the girl's dorm.

The brunette was wearing a long red and orange floral skirt that reached just below her knee, a white blouse and red-heeled shoes.

She had asked permission from dumbledore and her mum to go home for the weekend just to make sure it was ok with them. They were both fine with it but of course, she couldn't tell the headmaster that she was going home to go on a date so she told him her grandmother had died.

She didn't lie. The only thing was that her grandmother had been dead for eight years.

"Arent you excited, even a little bit?" Lily asked as she fluffed around with Laurie's hair.

"I suppose" she shrugged, "I think I just wish he had asked me before you two said everything about Sirius"

"She can't stop thinking about a certain disowned boy" Marlene teased "look at her!"

Laurie blushed and her friends laughed at her.

"Stop! It's not funny. If you hadn't said anything then I would be excited right now but you did"

"We thought he would Laur" Lily smiled sadly.

"We're sorry" Marlene apologised.

"It's alright"

"You know" Marlene trailed "you never told us about what Danny was like"

"I did"

"Not how he was, you didn't"

"Ohh" Laurie realised what the blonde was implying "He was... Good. I mean he wasn't bad but it wasn't the best sex I've ever had"

"How big was it?"

"Marlene" Lily cried at the girl's crass word and threw a hair clip at her.

"How big was it?" Marlene whispered.

"I don't know Marlene, I don't carry a ruler with me at all times" Laurie retorted.

"You should. Who was the best sex you've ever had then?"

"Marlene! It was Fabian Prewett if you must know. Why the sudden interest in my sex life?" Laurie questioned.

"Because you're the only one who gets any around here"

"That's not true"

"It is true, Lily is far too proud to admit to potter that she wants it and I'm a big lesbian who... Oh never mind your right. I take back my previous statement"

"I am not 'too proud' to admit anything to potter it's just there's nothing to admit," the redhead remarked.

"Right" Laurie and Marlene

"I always thought that Fabian Prewett would be good," said Lily trying to change the subject.

"It wouldn't work Lily, the ginger on ginger thing you two would look like Molly Prewett and Arthur Weasley" Laurie snickered.

Lily pulled at the ends of her hair and said "right you're done so you better run along"

"Right! Wish me luck" said Laurie, patting down her skirt and opening the door.

"Good luck!"

"Use protection"

"Mum! I missed you" Laurie said as she grabbed her mum who was in the kitchen making dinner in a tight hug.

"I missed you more, love" she said while wrapping her arms around her daughter.
