The weekend passed in a massive blur for Laurie, her date with Danny was good, her mum came home the next morning to find him in her bed so Laurie was heavily scolded and sent back to Hogwarts on Sunday, so when Monday rolled around the girl was ecstatic to get back to her routine.

"Rise and shine, my darling Marly" Laurie said more enthusiastically than she perhaps should have been considering it was 08:03 in the morning.

The brunette girl opened up Marlene's curtains, letting all of the light it while greatly irritating the sleeping girl.

"Shut up and go back to bed Laurie!" she mumbled into her pillow.

"Now, now Marly. Lily and Mary are downstairs already and I told them I would wake you up today so I'm not leaving till you get your fat arse up"

"While I appreciate the compliment on my arse Laur, I do but I'm not getting out of this bed until I absolutely have to" the blonde huffed.

"Suit yourself," said Laurie and she walked out of the dorm and into the common room where Lily was standing.

"Where's Mary?" Laurie asked noticing that their curly-haired friends who left with Lily this morning were no longer here.

"She went to go meet up with Dorcas Meadows. Where's Marls?" Lily replied.

"She wouldn't get up, you know how she is" the two girls laughed and began to walk to the great hall for breakfast.

As they made their way to the great hall, Laurie took the time to gaze at the arches of the halls. She thought about all of the people who had been there before her. The people who probably walked those very halls as if they would be there forever, just like she and her friends did.

She thought about the people who would be there after her. The people who would look at the walls and think the same thing about before them. Her. All of her friend's kids.

Her own children perhaps?

Children. Children of her own. She knew that one day she wanted kids, she wanted three kids. A boy then two girls. Laurie just wanted to find the person that wanted that too.

She suddenly snapped out of her thoughts when Lily called her name.

"Laurie?"

"What?"

Those thoughts were a bit too deep for a Monday morning Laurie concluded.

"We're here," said Lily as she pointed to the doors of the great hall.

They strolled down to their spot on the Gryffindor table when Laurie spotted the four Marauders already there.

"Hello my Lilyflower, want to join me in Hogsmeade this weekend?" James said noticing the girls first.

"Hardly potter, as if I'd go with you" declined the redhead girl.

When the girls sat down the conversation flowed like normal except there was an undeniable tension between them. Sirius and Laurie hadn't spoken since Friday. Laurie was away and Sirius was too embarrassed to say anything to her regardless, he was determined to change that though. He had no idea of her date with Danny.

"What do we have for first class?" asked Peter.

"Potions" replied Remus "we're changing partners today" he went on.

"That's today!" said a shocked Laurie.

"Uh, yeah" James added, " he said Monday, remember"

"Yeah I remember now thanks James," she said flatly.
