I rushed inside and locked the sliding glass door. My heart was in my throat. "Was that him? God please no!!" I ran to the bathroom and curled up in the empty tub.

By the time I was sitting outside I was waiting for the test to be done. I reached for it and pulled it to my chest. With every little heartbeat that passed, I prayed it was negative.

Slowly with shaking hands, I pulled it away and looked out it. There was only one line on the test. A wave of relief washed over my body.

I started to push out a laugh and then tears rolled. "Oooh. Fuck." I laughed. I rubbed my eyes wiping away the fear. "Fuck you, Michael!" I shouted. "FUUUUUUUUUK YOU!"

After my euphoric episode, I got up and checked my widow to see if that figure was still there.

My eyes scanned the darkness, but couldn't find the figure. Another sigh of relief was released. I slid my body against the wall. Kashi mewed and laid on my lap.

When I went to pet him, he started purring. My breathing slowed down and I started to get tired. I picked up Kashi and stood up. I made my way to the futon behind a shoji screen. I curled up covering myself and Kashi under a worn blanket that was given to us.

"Good night Kashi." I ran my fingers over his head and he responded by purring.

It was still dark outside. I rolled over to my alarm clock that lay on the floor. 4:00 am. I sighed and closed my eyes. I kept having dreams about that girl, and most of the day I bumped into her in America.

The haunting blue eyes seemed like they touched my soul. Those pink lips that were trying to say help me. The slight purple bruising on her arms when she gently touches my chest. Her meekly, shy voice squeaked crying out stop, even though everything else screamed help me.

I could feel my lips tingle as the corners pulled back into a small smile. My hand ran into the rat's nest of my hair. "Well, at least she is safe I guess." I sat up. Hearing my stomach gurgle reminded me I haven't eaten in the past two days.

I got grabbing a black hooded jacket and threw on a pair of jeans. I walked downstairs to the communal kitchen. I snuck around keeping to the shadows so no one would see me.

I opened the door and saw the girl from my dreams standing there. She had her back turned to me wearing nothing but an oversized black shirt, stopping at her mid-thighs. Her hair was wet and braided like she showered not too long ago.

Though there was a coffee aroma to the room I could smell a hint of what I thought was the honeysuckle. I was assuming it was from her. I stepped into the doorway and she turned around and looked at me.

I could see the blood drain from her face quickly as her eyes widen. Her mouth was full of what looked like a biscuit.

"Ummm Swilly." She talked with her mouth full. She covered her mouth and gulped down the food. She started coughing and placed her hand on her chest. I quickly moved to her side and patted her on the back.
