I woke up on the hardwood floor covered in dust. My throat was dry, and sore from crying out. Once again I was feeling alone. I should have known this was coming. I should have, knowing no one wanted me.

I slowly sat up as my body ached from being curled up. Looking at the dusty floor I pushed with my stiff legs and was able to stand up. With a few pops and my body demanding to sit, I walked over to the bathroom.

I knocked on it softly, but no answer. I fiddled with the knob to see if it was locked before I made my way in.

There is a small hallway the bathroom was a bathtub on one side, and on the opposite side was a counter with a built in sink. I tiptoes farther in and saw the toilet was on the other side of the counter. At the end of the narrow bathroom played Dabi's door.

I quickly rushed over and locked it. My heart pounded until there was a click to let me know it worked. I took a few steps back and finally used the toilet. Afterward, I moved to the sink and I saw my reflection. I was covered in dust, dirt, and blood. My long red hair was nothing but a giant rat's nest, hell it might as well have been a rat king of how big it was.

My skin was pale from laying on the floor. A couple of bruises were starting to make their appearance on my arms. I placed my hands on the cool marble to take a closer look at my face.

Other than paleness my usually red cheeks were washed out of color. Dry, flakey blood, stained my cheeks, as well as the corner of my mouth. With lips dry, they were cracked, and if I moved them the wrong way they would hurt like a bitch.

I fluttered my eyes close and took a deep breath, and then slowly reopened them. There were big dark circles under my eyes, that would make Dabi's scares look shameful. But my once bright blue eyes finally dulled and to me looked like dead fish eyes. I closed my eyes softly and pushed myself off the counter. I turned to the shower and started the water.

With the water running I looked around for a  towel or at least something to dry myself off with.  Once I found one I stripped and made my way into the hot, steaming water.

I could hear the water running in the bathroom. My body moved on its own to the bathroom door and messed with the knob. And of course, it was locked. I sighed.

I felt my gut just drop after I left her naked. I couldn't even sleep with her agonizing cries. But I had to do it. I had to stop whatever was gonna happen. She was too innocent, I couldn't corrupt her.

I turned and walked away, heading out of my room. Going down the stairs with my hands in my pockets I was greeted by Twice.

"Yo! That girl Reiki, Is nice." His voice showed excitement about her but soon after it switched to his other side. "But she's so stupid! Letting a girl like her into this type of place will be the death of us!!" Quickly I snatched his throat, lifting him off his stair and into the air.

His hands gathered around mine and he let out a few coughs. "Dude..." *Cough* "calm down." *Cough* "ass hat! Put me down!" I tighten my grip.

"Dabi. Put him down." Airmed's voice rang out. My heart stopped and I dropped Twice and then froze.

Soon Airmed walked past and kneeled to help Twice up. My eyes were glued to her, and I watched still frozen. Her hands touched the blonde like he was a broken child. Her head turned to me. Her eyes were dull and lifeless. But she was trying her best to show anger.

I....I broke her. I watched as she helped Twice up and finish walking down the stairs with him. All I could do was stand there like an idiot and watch her turn the corner with him.

Once they were out of sight all I could do was pity myself. But why though? Why am so upset? I turned my hand and looked down at my inner palm.

The once feeling of her soft skin faded away when I left her on the floor. But why am I itching to touch her freckled skin once more? I mean it was a completely different texture than Viper's but still. I'm sure any girl would feel like her.

Still, why is it only her that I want to touch? And why do I not want others to touch her? I scoffed and lit my hand up in flames trying to burn whatever itch I had for her. But it still wouldn't go away.

I ended up grinding my teeth and shoved them into the pockets of my pants and finished walking downstairs.

There sat Airmed at the bar, her red hair braided down her back, and she had changed from her dirty white tank top and pajama shorts to a black halter top, and jeans that hung loosely on her. There was a black belt that had a chain hanging from the side front to the side back.

The once shy, normal girl is now a villain. And it's all my fault.

I could feel his blue cyan eyes on me but I had to ignore them. I took a bite of the toast that Kiroguri made me. When I heard a raspy voice. When I looked over it was a green-looking lizard man.

"So Rei?" I turned to him to give my full attention, turning my back to Dabi.

"Hmm?" I answered back.

"So how would like animal quirks work with yours?"

I tilt my head a little bit. I was never around any animal quirk-based people because of my family. So even I wasn't sure.

I took a sip of tea that Kiroguri just placed before turning and heading to the side door to the kitchen. Once I placed the cup back down I looked back at Spinner and shrugged my shoulders. "You know I don't know."  I shook my head softly and continued answering his question. "Like where I came from a rich family. And let's just say they weren't very friendly with animal quirked people."

His eyes widen slightly before being back to normal. "Heh, well.....a lot of people didn't take too kindly to me either." I felt a pang of guilt from his voice being so sad. I bet he was so lonely growing up.

Without any hesitation, I place my hand on his shoulder and gave him a big smile. "Well maybe in this place we can be like a family?" With that, his face slowly grew into a smile, or at least for him it was.

"Yeah, I... I would like that Reiki."
