Dealing with the clerk was easy. Just setting the friers on fire was easy enough, and with the pouring rain, he could easily lose Airmed.
But I didn't plan out was I would be here fighting to get away before the cops get here. As much as I want to just blaze this place up I couldn't. I couldn't let her know I was here.
As was being backed into a corner and I was ready to bite. Granted his quirk was a fucking telephone, where he could tell the cops everything.
"Look I'm done playing you trash. If you don't move I will make sure you're nothing more but ash." I could hold back the itch of killing someone again. If it meant killing for her then I would gladly do it over and over and take pleasure out of it.
The clerk didn't like that threat and charged at me. I lit up like nothing, blue flames drying all of my clothes, before spreading out.
Blue flames crawled on the tile floor and crawled up the clerk's pants. The man screamed and panicked. As he was dancing around trying to get the flames to go out I was able to walk past him with my hands still in my pockets.
Screams filled the air making me smile. It screamed that I loved it. But this wasn't about me. This was about Airmed's mission. I had to put this flame out or else Hands would know I help her.
I turned around and grabbed the half-burned man and shoved him through the back door and out into the rain. The sound is sizzling, competed with the pitter patter of the pouring rain.
"Today is your lucky day." I shoved my hands back into my pockets and looked down at the red-skinned man. His skin was covered in 3rd-degree burns but he was still alive. "If you want to keep it that way, then I was never here. Your friers malfunctioned." The man nodded and curled up.
"Pl-Please. " I rolled my eyes and stepped over him. I could feel my coat drag over him as I left.
The rain sizzled off my skin as I walked. I saw flashing lights and finally arrived at the 7-11. I looked around as I kept walking back to the sidewalk. If she wasn't stupid she would have kept walking but there was cans litter down the hill.
I pulled my hand to my face and pinched the bridge of my nose. "did you fucking panic and run down the hill?" With a long soft sigh, I looked down to see where she was running but I didn't see only one set of footprints. I saw two.
"Fuck."

I was running even though I was losing everything. But I was being chased by a police officer. He hop out of his car and started running up at me. Probably because the clerk called them and told them I shoplift.
My ankle twisted when I quickly changed directions and started running down a hill that grew off the sidewalk. It let into a forest. Twist and turns I pushed through trying to put distance between myself and the police officer.
