Seven

"Oh, our youngest is finally here!" One of my brothers exclaimed fakely. His smiles were fake. He is fake. Him, welcoming me with wide arms, is a fake action.

I pull away from the hug and stick with my eldest brother whom I feel a bit comfortable with. His name is Johnny, and although he never initiated a conversation with me, he is still the kindest to me. He never lifted a hand on me nor degraded me. He's the reliable one, I think.

"How are you?" Mom grabs Mark's hands and shakes it with hers. Mark smiled at her and welcomed her in his arms.

"I'm doing really great, Ma'am."

"Oh, just call me mom." She looked at me with disgust. "You're already married to our youngest."

"It is my honor." Mark says.

"Who is she?" Sean, my second eldest brother, quirks a brow on Karina.

"She's my secretary." I never missed how Mark pulled her gently using her elbows and made her scoot closer. "Karina."

"She's pretty." Sean smirks. "Even more prettier than—"

My other older brother, Joshua, hits him using his elbow. "Shut it."

I know Sean's referring to me. He thinks Karina's prettier than me and I do agree. She's damn beautiful! Every man would like her. Even Mark.

Karina laughs happily. "Thank you, I guess?"

"Donghyuck is pretty." My eyes widened with what Mark said. "Damn, no one can compare."

Fuck, my heart... It's beating so fast in embarrassment. Oh, for pete's sake!

"You are pretty." Johnny says which also had me shocked. "Don't believe those sons of a bitch."

"H-Hyung." I feel so happy that he finally talked to me. I want to cry in happiness.

"Love..." Mark says. "Let's eat?"

"Oh..." I trail off. My mind got confused for a moment but then I remembered he's supposed to call me that.

I walked towards him and felt him hold my waist. Mark guided me on the seat beside him and scooted closer to me. On the other side, he has Karina beside him.

"So, how's your company doing Mark?" Mom asks kindly. And for all I know this isn't the woman who bullied me. This is kind and she is kind because a rich man, who is Mark, came to visit her.

"We're doing alright actually. As of now we're building a few branches across the state and we're launching another business line." Mark calmly replies as he cuts the steak on his plate. "Your company is also doing great because of our union."

My throat clogged as I reminisced on the reasons why I was forced to marry Mark. Sean failed to lead the company and Joshua made it worse. The company went into bankruptcy and the only solution they had was to sell me to someone who can save the company. They gave me up so they can revive the company.

"Why isn't Donghyuck answering? Does he not know anything about his husband's business?"

I felt my body flinch. Fuck, now the spotlight is on me! Damn it, Joshua!

Mark taps my thighs and smiles at me. "Donghyuck's doing great in helping me with the business."

I did not do anything to help with Mark's business. I did not offer to help him at all! I was just inside the room all the time and I didn't even step out of my room for more than an hour! What the fuck is he talking about?

"What does he do?" Johnny asks with brows raised.

"He's my emotional support. He keeps me going." Mark says seriously.
