Sleeping on Mark's chest is comfortable but waking up with him talking to someone else isn't. My forehead immediately frowned as soon as I opened my eyes.

"Yes... Is it really necessary for me to go there today?... No... I haven't talked to my husband about it yet... I-I don't think I can today..." Mark had dropped his eyes on me and when he saw me woke up, he immediately smiled and paused the call to greet me. "Good morning, love."

"Who's that?" I whisper. "Work?"

He nodded and a sad smile appeared on his face. "Can I talk to you later?"

I heard the voice say yes. Mark dropped his phone then and pulled me close to kiss my hair a couple of million times.

"How was your sleep?"

"Who was that?"

Mark sighs. And that sigh meant things for me like—he has to work and he'll leave me again.

"Canada," Mark tapped my shoulders with his finger and kissed my cheeks. "It was about the construction site. They want me to go visit it today and be there during the reconstruction—"

"In Canada?" My whole world was shook by just this statement. "Why do you have to go there?"

"The investors want me to see it for myself."

"Does that mean you're leaving?"

Not when I'm bothered and broken like this, damn it! I just had a few problems with my 'already problematic' family, and I can't afford to be away from Mark this time. Maybe next month or next year, but obviously not now.

"I won't leave unless we talk about it."

So he will?

I shoot up and groan to myself. I grabbed my flip flops and walked away with a loud stomp.

I can't believe he'll tell me that and actually want to leave because of work! I mean... he told me that I am more important than work so why does he have to go?

With scrunched forehead and arms crossed over my chest, I pace around the kitchen. Then I started making my own coffee and preparing my meal because I wanted some distractions, although it was completely useless because I can't stop thinking about it.

"Love..." Mark clings. His arms wrapped around my waist tight and his chin on my shoulder. "Love, please?"

"It's your job." I shrug. "I can't win over it, can I? So, just go. Forget you have a husband in here—"

"That is just a job, love. It won't last for too long."

"How long then?" I groan and push his hands away. "Canada is not just from our room to this kitchen, love! Canada is halfway the world!"

"Love?"

"What?" I shout loud, finally facing him with a mad face.

"No, no," His lips twitched, a small smile wanting to appear. "You called me love."

This time, mine twitched. Along with my heart beating fast. I didn't even notice that I called him that. I guess it was just automatic. I didn't even think of it.

"Love... Can you call me that again?"

My cheeks are surely heating up. "W-What...ever! I don't—"

"Okay." He chuckled, dropping his head on my shoulders again when I turned around to hide my flushed red cheeks. "Listen..."

"Why can't you just bring me with you?" I huff and I don't regret what I said. I want to be with Mark!

"Your family's gonna be there." He sighs which also had me gasping. "I understand that you do—"
