A few hours went by. It's already 8:00 in the evening and Mark is not here, yet. I'm pretty sure he told me that he'll go out with me and Mark is a man of his words, so I wonder what went wrong this time?

I still anticipated for him though. I wore a necklace which I just found on the drawers and my shoes that I bought yesterday. I walked out of my room and waited for them in the living room.

I grabbed a few newspapers and some of Mark's papers on the coffee table and read it. I'm not really reading it with all my heart. I'm just watching the letters dance and form words, most specifically Mark Lee.

"Damn it!" I looked at my watch and found out it's already nine. Most restaurants close after nine or nine thirty, which kills my hope of dating Mark tonight.

I went to my room and kicked my shoes off. I removed the pretty clothes off me and settled for just my shorts and a loose shirt. I plop into bed and bite my nails in agitation.

Why did Mark even ask me out if he's not gonna stay true to his words? I waited for him all day without nothing to do in this fucking boring house, and yet I just got ditched. Fuck.

As I was biting my flesh, I heard a car pulling over to my place. I looked out my window but I can't clearly see who went out of it.

"No." I stop myself from coming out. "I'm mad at him. Mad at Mark. I am..."

"Donghyuck?"

No. It's not actually Mark.

"Jeno?" I gasp when I open the door wide. Jeno smiled at me kindly and his eyes disappeared like the usual. "What are you doing here?"

"My shift's over with Mark." He says. "So I can take you out."

"But," I trail off. "I'm supposed to go out with Mark tonight."

"He can't come home tonight, probably." He sighs and pushed his hair back. "He's so busy. He has a lot of papers to check and sign. Then he'll attend another business meeting in Gangnam tomorrow. His schedule is pretty hectic."

"Why did you leave him, then?" I said worriedly but the madness for ditching me hasn't left my body. "Where is he?"

"In his company." He shrugs. "Don't worry, his mother is with him."

"His mom?" My eyes widened.

I already met Mark's mom a few times before. Mark often brings me to their home whenever there's a party and the like, but I've never had a conversation with her. I'm guessing she isn't so fond of me.

"So? Are you up for a burger night? They're open 24/7." He wriggled his eyebrows and teased.

Damn, I want to go with him but my worries for Mark are building up. But then again, he didn't show up, so I'll just use this time that he wasted, for a burger night with Jeno.

"Let me just change..."

💍

"Are you full?"

"Too full." I burped and laughed loudly. "That was so tasty! I'd like to come here again!"

"I'll take you here." Jeno said and laughed with me too. "I know a circus around. Do you want to go there?"

"You know a lot of places, don't you?" I smirk.

"I used to take Jaemin out a lot. That's how I've come to know about these places." He shrugged and smoothly, he wrapped his arms around my shoulders. "So?"

"Fine..." I roll my eyes.

I have to take my mind off the worries first. I'll just have fun with Jeno all night before I go back to that boring place that's full of papers and stuffs.
