SUDDEN MARRIAGE

Thirty six

Waving goodbye was harder that what I thought it would be, especially now that I knew I have someone special in here. My mom, Johnny hyung, Minhyuck, Sarang, and all the other kids.

They were kind so me and I wish we could've stayed longer. I just don't want to if I won't be with Mark.

"Bye, bye, papa…" Minhyuck says, followed by Sarang saying, "You'll visit us right?"

"Of course…" I pat their heads and smile. "Papa will visit."

"Donghyuck." Johnny hyung called me, motioned for me to come close. And since he's with our mom, I cower while walking. "Mom doesn't want you to go…"

"I can't stay… Mark won't be here…" I huff and honestly, I also feel awkward with the both of them so I guess I can't, for now.

"Donghyuck…" The lady said. "Let me hold you one last time…"

I let her be. She clung onto me, holding and hugging me tight while sobbing. Her tears went straight to my cheeks but I don't mind, I still hugged her back.

"Is there any chance that we can meet someday soon?" She sniffles.

"Uh…" Fiddling with my fingers, I look at Mark.

"This weekend. I'll take a day off from work and we'll visit." He smiles at them and gently wrapped an arm around me. "You sure you don't want to stay?" He asks me.

"Maybe… next time?" I hesitantly reply.

"I'm gonna miss you again," She cries and Johnny hyung rubbed her back. "I love you, Donghyuck, hmm? Come and visit us, soon…"

"Okay." I utter shyly, going back to giving her an embrace and sniffing her lovely scent. "Bye, bye, mama… Mama…"

Her sobs got louder when she heard me call her mama. I don't know… It's just a bit easier for me to say than mom. Maybe it's because I hear most of the kids call her that.

"Take care, hmm?" She said. "Take good care of yourself. Eat a lot."

"I-I will…" I reply shyly. "We'll go now…"

"Mark," Mama called Mark. "Please drive safely. Take care of my son for me."

He's been doing that in the entire marriage. Mark has given so much care. Mama doesn't have to worry about that.

"No problem, ma'am. Your son is safe with me." Mark bowed, before waving a goodbye.

No. In this chaotic world, he is the safest comfort for me.

"Kids… I'll see you next week, hmm?"

"Yes, Uncle Mork…"

"See you… Malk…"

"Sir Lee, bye, bye…" That was Chenle.

"Daddy, bye bye…" Sarang giggled.

"Bway, bway, dawddy…" Minhyuck says with all smiles and waved his hand until he almost flew around.

"Adorable…" I whisper to myself. Oh god, I want to have kids like them. "I want to bring them with me…" I pout.

"Let's go, love?"

"Oh." I walk fast and follow Mark. "Bye kids…"

Until Mark started the car and until we reached the gate, they all waved a goodbye. Of course my mom was with them, smiling at me with a sad smile. Johnny hyung nodded at Mark before we finally depart from the centre.

The longer we passed by it, the lonelier I become. The distance ate me up and now I felt empty.

"I'm gonna miss them, though." I huff. "Especially Minhyuck and Sarang…"
