"Shall we talk about your plans?" I ask Mark calmly. I wipe his big tears off his cheeks and gently give him a kiss.
He nodded and only then he settled himself on the chair right infront of the table where I am sitting. His thumbs was still pressed on my flesh and his head is on my chest.
"What are your plans?"
"Whatever yours are." I answer in a sigh, my voice breaking as well.
"Love, I want the kids. Haechan, Minhyuck and Sarang. I really do love them and I want to adopt them, especially now that we both know there's no chance of us having kids of our own."
"You shouldn't feel inferior to others just because this happened to us, love. It's not a bad thing."
Gently, he pecks my palms and nuzzled his face deep into it. "All I need is your opinion. I don't want anyone else's but yours."
I do believe in that because if he doesn't, what could be the reason why he hid that fact aside from me getting mad and probably leaving him?
He didn't even talk about what other people would think about him. His concern is all for me and the kids that we currently have.
"We have to talk to Haechan's mother, love. We can't just keep him without—"
"Love…" Mark's hold on me got tighter. "We can't."
"Why not, love?" I was confused.
"I tried to find her after knowing Channie isn't mine. But I found out she was arrested for illegal possession of drugs and before she could even go inside the prison, she died because of overdose. So, there's no way we can talk to her anymore."
I gasp in disbelief at Mark's explanation. "She was under influence of drugs?"
He nodded curtly. "I think she used me to take care of her son so she could get away easily. But I know she knows that I'm not the father."
"Maybe it's because… Channie's father can't provide for him also. Right? Or he died. Or he left." I draw circles on Mark's neck and sigh in affliction. "C-Channie…"
"Let's keep him, please?" He asks sincerely.
I know he totally respects what I want and that he would never go cross it, but right now I believe he's desperate enough to do everything for us to keep Channie which is something that he doesn't need to do anymore because I want Channie.
"Of course, love." I hum, kissing his hair and embracing him in return.
"I'm sorry…" He says again.
"Love, you know I will love you still even if we can't have a child. I love you and that will never change." I exhale on his hair.
"You don't feel sad?"
"I guess… I don't have to. We already have children, don't we?"
"Y-Yes." He sobs. "We do. God, I love you so fucking much Donghyuck. I love you. Thank you, love."
"I love you…" I did press our lips together, sealing it in a sweet kiss.
I could feel wetness dripping from his nose bridge and travelling into mine. I'm certain that was his tears and I know mine has been falling as well. We shared that kiss knowing that we will love each other despite everything.
Never will I let go of Mark. Not just because he's barren or not just because he can't get me pregnant. I will love him, always.
"Love you." He says after pulling away and kissing everywhere in my face. I entangle our hands and kiss his knuckles too.
