Sweet As Candy

I was on my way home after I parted ways with Mirabel, admiring the sunset and took in the blissful feeling of the fresh summer air. (A/N: IDK WHAT SEASON IT TOOK PLACE IN BUT F IT)

As I skipped inside the house I see my papa hasn't returned yet so I got dinner started. When I was finished cooking the chicken and rice I set the table for me and Papa to eat together

I hear the door open to reaveal him, "Hola (Y/N)" he says, "Hola Papa, how was work?" I ask as I finished setting the table, "Tiring, but I'm glad to be home " he says coming to the table.

Papa worked in the police force, which was obviously a lot of work for him to do in other places, crime rates were higher in other cities during this time period (A/N: I did my research)

I didn't ask him to go into depth so I figured it would be best to lighten up the mood with the news I know he's been wanting to hear, "I explored the town Papa, it's wonderful and I even made a new friend."

"Oh yeah? Who?"

"Her name is Mirabel Madrigal, and she invited me to a party they're having tommorow, is it okay if I go?"

"Of course mi reina(my queen), just make sure all of the chores are done please before you go tommorow, and you know the rules, don't stay out too late." He says, I nodded my head happily and grinned out of excitement.

When morning came I woke up to the delicious smell of bread and coffee and the columbian sunlight shining through my window.

Breakfast with papa was smooth, he did fill me in on something I was surprised to know about, all it took was one day strolling through town and people were already saying I was one of the prettiest girls in town? That's crazy, but hey, who can blame them?

The day was mostly taken up by the house chores, luckily I finished up just in time to start getting ready for the party

I threw on a beautiful (F/c) dress and a nice pair of shoes to compliment it. My hair was finally dry from my morning shower, I did the hairstyle I wanted and added a pair of my mama's earrings, a necklace and a bracelet.

After applying a bit of lipgloss, blush, and mascara, I was finally ready.

Camilo's Pov

I was greeting guests and shape-shifting into each one

Luisa was taking care of the donkeys and I thought Mirabel was elsewhere until I heard her voice behind me calling me in, "Camilo!"

I go to her, "Yes Mira?" She looks behind my shoulders as if she were expecting somebody, "I was just wondering, have you seen my friend? She's yeigh tall, (e/c) eyes, (h/l) (h/c) hair? You probably haven't seen her before until today.."

I thought for a minute but then I shook my head, "no way I'm too good at keeping track of guests and shape-shifting into them. What's her name? There's no way I could've missed her." Right after I said that Isabella appeared next to Mirabel,

"Well you obviously did cause I'm guessing that's her." Isabella sassed motioning behind me. I turned around slowly, only to be blown away by what I saw.

A breathtaking girl walking into the room, she wore a beautiful (f/c) dress and her pretty eyes complimented that perfect hair being blown away from her face by the wind.

"(Y/N) (L/N), she's new in town and already being deemed one of the most beautiful girls in town. Can you believe that?" Isabella sounded surprised, "I met her yesterday she's amazing, and she's as sweet as candy." Mirabel said nudging my shoulder but I couldn't quite feel it

Before I knew it my heart was beating 10 times faster and my knees felt weaker, the room suddenly felt hotter and a burst of energy rushing through me.

After she was done greeting a few people, she then turned to my direction and smiled walking towards me, I brought myself to walk closer to her as well, "Hi, you must be-"

"Mirabel!" She yelled excitedly walking right past me and towards my cousin. I turn around awkwardly to see them greeting eachother

"(Y/N)! This is my older sister Isabella, and that over there is my primo, Camilo." She says, (Y/N) greeted Isabella then turned around to look at me, she walked towards me, stook out her hand and spoke "Nice to meet you Camilo."

Okay Camilo, get your game face back on. I smiled back at her, shaking her hand "(Y/N), what a beautiful name for a such beautiful girl." I lifted her hand up to my lips and placed a kiss on it, "pleasure to meet you, Amor"

Her face blushed a rosy pink and she chuckled nervously, "thank you."

Back to (Y/N)'s Pov

My heart fluttered as the cute boy in the yellow ruana kissed my hand and called me, "Amor",

Camilo, I'll remember that name

Before anything else could happen I felt to pairs of hands wrap around my elbows, only to see Isabella and Mirabel on each of my side

"Come on (Y/N) we'll show you around" Isabella said before giving Camilo a look

"You've got to see what everyone can do, and the magical casita." Mirabel added

I felt sad about leaving Camilo so soon, but I'll try to find him again later. There's something about that boy that really got to me.
