What's Next?

Inez's Pov

"You're in love with Camilo?" I was frozen in shock, if my soul had the choice it would've ditched my body in a heartbeat. Y/n standing at the stairs holding a glowing green thing? I must've not heard her walking down the steps and hearing us.

Camilo's eyes widened "Y/n no!"

"It's not what it looks like!" I shout,

"really? Because it looks like you are." She says holding up the green thing for me to see, my eyes widened. It was a silhouette of her and Camilo together and me looking like I was crying reaching out to them with my other hand over my heart

From the corner of my eye I could see Camilo facing me, probably with looks of shock, but my focus remained on Y/n looking at me with with a dissapointed look in her eyes burning through me. She said nothing when she turned around at stormed back up the stairs.

Camilo ran after her as she continued walking up the stairs, I tried to follow along with them. "Y/n! Just let me explain!"

"Casita!" Camilo yelled, "Woah!" suddenly the stars turned into some kind of slide bringing me to the bottom.

"Just go after my boyfriend why don't you?!"

"Y/n please! Guys! I know this looks really bad but please you have to believe me I would never do anything to come in between you two!!" I pleaded

I see Camilo rub Y/n's shoulders whispering something to her clearly trying to calm her down, she looked back at me, shut her eyes and sighed. "Casita, bring her up." Camilo says without removing his hands from Y/n's shoulders.

The tiles beneath me moved and I was brought back upstairs by the magical casita. Y/n stood there giving me a deep glare. She didn't take her eyes off me as she handed Camilo the glowing vision. "Y/n.. I'm really sorry, you weren't supposed to know."

"You let me think this was worth coming back to. You let me believe that I could trust you." Y/n let out a sarcastic laugh, "now it turns out that.. you're in love with Camilo?"

"No! It's not like that please hermana you have to believe me."

"Don't call me that."

I felt tears brimming eyes "that's not fair Y/n." She choked, "I would never wanna take your boyfriend from you.."

"Oh yeah? Really?" She stepped closer, making me step back frightened "look me in the eyes and tell me you don't have feelings for him."

This was the moment I ever so wanted to tell her I didn't, but I couldn't fight back the tears in my eyes, I could barley choke out any real words, just sounds.

All she said then was, "I never should've come back." I frowned heartbroken. "We may be related by blood, but we are not sisters."

And with that, she walked into a room with a glowing door that says 'Camilo' leaving just me and Camilo now standing closest to eachother. He looked at me dissapointedly, "Inez, I don't know what your deal is." He took a step back from me "But this is never gonna happen." He said doing hand signals between eachother.

I sighed as I felt my face burn as I tried following her "Camilo please I would never-"

"I'm gonna stop you right there." He said stopping me "Maybe you weren't gonna make a move on me but your sister's really upset right now. All I'm gonna ask you now is to give her some space until I can calm her down."

I practically bit my tounge, and gave a fake smile with tears bringing my eyes, "Fine." I waved both my hands in the air heading back downstairs when Mirabel saw me "Inez, are you okay?"

I dodged her pity, "No, it's okay. I've done enough." I said quietly walking out.

Y/n's Pov

I was laying on Camilos chest trying to calm down my heartbeat and adrenaline rush, this feels like such betrayal, even though nothing happened between them, because not only do I trust Camilo, Bruno said that was the furthest he could see into that prophesy.

I just felt so hurt, "after everything we've been through together, she talked me into forgiving you.. coming back to you.." I croaked. Camilo slid his hand down my back and kissed my cheek,
"Y/n just know I'm not taking her side at all, but maybe we didn't know because she was trying to fight those feelings too..?"

I turned my head to face him, "Probably.. she didn't try anything with you did she..? Like say anything or get touchy with you in any way..?" I trailed

Camilo shook his head and scoffed, "Please if she did you would've known because I would've fought her." He said jokingly, I could tell he meant he would've just told me, "so if she wasn't trying anything.. why was she acting so weird..?" I ask with wandering eyes

Camilo sighed, "she was planning a surprise for you Y/n.. but I was even more surprised to learn that she liked me.. like that's the last thing I would've expected!" He exclaimed still in shock

"Wait wait wait, surprise? What surprise?" I ask furrowing my eyebrows, Camilo tisked, "I can't spoil that, even with everything that just happened.. you'll just have to wait and see." He says cutely pecking my forehead.

I sigh sadley rolling back on my side, "Maybe I was too harsh on her.. I don't know I just didn't know what to think.. she was acting so weird, you were being distant, so were Mirabel and Dolores-"

"Y/n look at me." I hear his stern voice say, I look at him "I would never do anything to hurt you, you know this better than anyone. Mirabel and Dolores probably knew about Inez's crush on me and didn't wanna spill it to you."

"He's right." We snapped our heads to see Dolores, Mirabel, and Antonio standing at the doorframe "how long have you guys been standing there??" Camilo asked frantically

"Long enough." Dolores said shyly,
"Y/n, we'll understand if you're mad at us for not telling you.. we wanted to tell you so many times, but Inez made us promise to keep it a secret until she could get over Camilo in private." Mirabel explained

"She was looking after your feelings, she didn't wanna hurt you.. needless to say Y/n.." Dolores and Mirabel exchanged looks of sorrow "We're really sorry, and we hope you can forgive us.."

I gave a weak smile as I sat back up, "Of course guys, it was just all so overwhelming and confusing.. but we'll get past this.." I say softly, they nodded

I look over at the little guy playing with his hands with a toucan sitting on his shoulder, "I'm guessing the animals told you about it all too huh?" I teased

"That and I saw her face when she saw you guys playing with Estrella.. guess you just looked so much like a family to her." Antonio explained with a shrug

Camilo and I face eachother "she saw us with Estrella..?" I turn back to see Antonio nodding. "Speaking of, where is she?" Camilo asks

"She and Ramona are staying in Bruno's tower. You could say things are going really well between them." Dolores said happily, we all smiled

Camilo walked me home that night, when I got home the door was wide open and I saw my Papa reading a paper with a look of worry on his face.

We approach him carefully "Papa?" I ask, "Everything okay?" Camilo added

He looks up from the paper shaking his head, "It's your sister." He says handing me the paper

Dear L/n family,

As far as I'm concerned, I've caused way more than enough trouble and I'm surprised you haven't kicked me out yet, I would've done so if I were you. Anyway, I've decided to take the liberty of leaving, there is no need to come find me or alert my mama, as I'm not returning to her either..

I'm deeply sorry for the trouble I've caused, do not worry for me or my safety.. I can take care of myself.
