Safe With Me

Camilo's Pov

Mirabel was telling (Y/N) all about the casita and the family as they walked further into the crowd, and Mirabel's voice faded.

I'll find her again later, I just know that girl is going to be impossible to forget. Her sweet scent and warm presence left me craving it more, I wanna know this (Y/N) and get closer to her in any way I can.

The rest of the party I did enjoy the food and the people there, the music and everything in general. But every other moment my eyes would fall on (Y/N) with newer people, laughing, talking, dancing

Don't even get me started because I didn't think it was possible to look good and so mesmerizing while you dance as if no one's looking.

I smiled to myself, it was clear she has a fun personality

(Y/N)'s Pov

I've had so much fun at the party, bonding with Mirabel and her cousin and sisters, checking out their cool gifts and the food was great. They did tease me occasionally saying that Camilo likes me which normally I would just brush it off, but instead it would cause me to blush and feel excited

Besides Mirabel's sisters and cousins, I did make 2 new friends tonight, (F1) and (F2), right now I was talking to them until I looked over at the clock and saw the time

"Ooh, I better start heading home. Sorry girls, I have a curfew." I said in a sincere voice

"Okay bye (Y/N)!" (F1) said, "take care!" (F2) said as they both hugged me goodbye

I went off to go find Mirabel and the rest of the family to say goodbye to them, when I finally got down to Mirabel

"Hey Mira, I had a great time tonight but I have to start heading home. I'll see you around?" I say, she nods hugging me goodbye, "Of course, take care and come back any time! I'll be seeing you around okay?"

I nodded, "okay!" I turned around and flinched back because I was so close to bumping into Camilo. "Oh hi Camilo! Sorry I was just leaving.." I apologize nervously for almost bumping into him

"Leaving so soon hermosa?" He asked with worried eyes, "yea, I've got a curfew you know?" I explain as I make my way to out the door but he stepped in front of me, "Wait! I'll walk you home." He insists

I look back at the house then back at him, "It's okay really, I don't live that far and I don't wanna be a bother."

Camilo shook his head, "no cariño it's not a bother at all, plus I'd love to get to know you on the way there, regardless of how far." He said as he gazed into my eyes and boy, was I lost in his

His eyes were a mesmerizing forest green, if the night had been any darker I would've thought they were brown. When he smiled at me my knees felt weaker and I felt my face getting warmer.

How could I say no to that face?

"Don't worry princesa, I don't bite." He teased with a laced voice holding out his hand for me to hold

"Uhm, okay sure.." His face lit up as I took his hand and led the way.

"So what's your favorite food?" Camilo asks as we're walking in the street under the moonlight, "(favorite food), ooh and I loved the Arepas your Tia made." I answered

"I know, they're the best, You should definitely come over more." He says, I smiled to myself thinking he wouldn't see, but to my surprise, I was wrong.

"You have the cutest smile." He says in awe looking at me, the way he looks at me always makes me nervous!

I giggled, "thanks I guess, you've got the nicest eyes." Smoooth (y/n)

He laughed lightly, "you're adorable, you know that?"

"I've been told once or twice"

"I'm not surpised, but what brought you here if you don't mind.." Camilo started, "Oh, I moved here to live with my papa, he and my mama thought it would be good for me to be here. I do miss some things about (Y/c) but I do love it here so far. She's not alone tho, she's got her new husband and my half sister."

Camilo nods,"Oh I see.. and, you don't like the guy or..?"

I shook my head, "I didn't mind him really, he makes my mom happy but his job requires them to move around a lot and I wasn't for it you know? So they left behind our house in (Y/c) and, here I am." I say jokingly

"I don't know about you but I'm happy the end result landed you here with me." Camilo said as we reached my house, "I am too" I say standing in front of him

A rustling sound in the bushes startled me and by instict I jumped into Camilo's arms. He didn't hesitate at all to hold me close, "Shh, (Y/N) it's only a squirrel." He says motioning to the bush

I looked to see it was in fact a squirel running out of the bush. "See?" I nod, "Y-yeah.." I turn to face him and back away slightly, not wanting to make him uncomfortable. But his hands rested on my waist, so I found myself resting one hand on his shoulder and another on his chest

"Camilo, thank you for bringing me home, I hope it wasn't to much of a bother." I said, "Anything for you princesa, I don't mind at all and I know you're still new to the village."

He moved a strand of hair out of my face and tucked it behind my ear, "Anything you need you know where to find me, I'll always keep you safe (Y/N)" he stroked his thumb from my cheek down to under my chin lifting it up slightly.

I leaned in and places a kiss on his cheek, "Thank you Cami, I'll see you around." He smiled, "Anytime, goodnight (Y/N)."
