Chapter 3

Bella's P.O.V

It wasn't until hours later until the fight attendant announced that we will be landing soon. I looked over at Ashton who was still up.
"How long have you been awake ?"

"The whole time, I couldn't sleep..."

"I know what your about to say, it's ok to be worried we haven't seen him in a long time it'll be ok."

"How do you know that though ? He was a horrible alcoholic ! " He said whispering kinda loud.

"I don't but he's all we have left."

"You have a point there."

Ashton grabbed the bags as I held Colton's hand when we got off the plan. My heart stopped. That was when my eyes meet his....... My father. Ashton noticed the same time I did. Colton doesn't notice because he wasnt even born when he met him or when he left, he barley knows him. Ashton grabbed my elbow in a nice way and whispered to me " I won't let him hurt us again, don't let your guard down."
I looked at him and gave him a nervous smile. Then he noticed us.

He ran up and hugged me and was saying "Annabella ! , Ashton ! , Colton ! it's been to long ! Oh my god you guys have changed so much. Ashton look at you , your all grown up on me now. And Annabella look at you, your just as beautiful as I remember"

I just blushed and looked away , I wasn't sure if I should respond or not.

"And Colton my little boy ! How have you been?"

"Fine..." He said so quiet I'm surprised you could even hear him.

Ashton doesn't even look him in the eyes and denied his hug. My father tried to hug Colton. But Colton was hesitant. Colton looked at me for approval I just smiles and he just ignored his hug and came behind me . My fathers smile faded.

I can't blame Colton for coming behind me though because this man. His father wasn't even there for his sons birth. Colton doesn't even recognize him. My dad grabbed our bags and said

" Come on kids there so much of Sydney I have to show you!"

"Great , I couldn't even imagine how much as changed. Sense what you've done" Ashton said so sarcastic.

I elbowed him in the ribs.

My dads smile faded and we continued walking in silence all the way to the car. I made sure to keep my distance from my dad.

And so did everyone else.

Ashton pulled up his hoodie again and stayed close to me. He had texted me saying

I'm not trying to be a jerk I'm just being protective, I know what he did to you last time.

I replied back saying I know but please let's not talk about it I'm trying to move forward with this man not backwards

How can you even think to forgive him?

I'm letting him back in my life because he's the only family I have left

I looked up at him after reading that text he was really sad when I sent that and I stopped walking and said to him.

"I know ash I know, you've always been there and I want you there no matter what happened a we stay together!" I hugged him and he just pushed me away and Colton just laughed.

We had reached the car of my fathers and he loaded the bags and held open the door for us. And we hopped in and then we were off to the new house.
