Chapter 30

Bella's P.O.V

We pulled out of the drive way and it was around 7:30 when we got onto the road.

"Hey are you hungry ?" I asked Colton.

Looking at him through the mirror because he was in the back seat.

"Yeah..." He mumbled.

"Are you okay ?"

"Yeah just tired I had a long day ." He said.

"I know what will make you happy ! Wanna go out to eat ?" I asked him.

And his head popped up.

"Yes !"

We go out quiet a bit because our dads never home.

"How about you pick where we go ?" I said to him already knowing what he was going to pick.

"Apple bees !" He said.

"Okay to apple bees," I said smiling back at him and he had the brightest smile on his face.

We arrived at Apple bees around 8:15 and I got him out of the back and we walked into Apple bees and waited to be seated.

Colton kept looking up at me.

"How many ?" The waitress asked me.

"Just 2,"

"Right this way." She smiled and lead us to our booth.

Colton sat on one side and I sat on the other.

We were by the window so it was a little cold and I'm glad we both had our jackets on.

The waitress handed us our menus and asked what we want to drink and I ended up going with water to drink and Colton ordered a Pepsi.

I know bad idea this late but may as well.

The waitress walked away and Colton spoke up first.

"Why were you acting so weird when Alex's older brother came in ?" He asked me.

"Dan ?" I said surprised.

I still can't believe that happened what were the odds ?

"Yeah Dan ? Do you have a problem with him ?" Colton asked me.

Colton's to young to realize this but I have really hard trust issues from what happened when we were younger and Dan is someone I don't trust and I know I shouldn't according to Luke, Micheal, and Calum.

"No I'm just not the best of friends with him.....nothing you need to be worried about." I said

Our waitress came back with our drinks and set them in front of us.

"What would you guys like ?" She asked us.

"Chicken salad for me, and a cheeseburger to go for my brother " I said.

I wanted to get Ashton something so he wasn't complaining we went without him.

"Mac n' cheese please." Colton said.

She wrote it down grabbed our menus and left us alone.

We just continued talking about random things,

About 10 minutes later she returned with our food and we devoured it.

I hadn't realized how hungry I was until I started to eat.

"B how come dads never home anymore ?" Colton asked me.

I was shocked that he noticed that I think I was mores shocked that he even asked but to be serious I don't think he'll understand, would he understand ?
