Chapter 14

Ashton's P.O.V

It was when Calum and I pulled up into the house, I noticed Luke and Michael sitting outside waiting for us.

We got out of the car. Calum was the first to say something

"Hey mates what's new ?"

"Nothing just waiting for you guys." Luke said.

"Do you have soccer balls and cones and stuff ? Michael asked Luke.

"Of course."

He returned with all of the items into a big bag.

"Do you guys wanna carpool ? It'll save us gas money," I asked.

"Sure wanna take Calum's B&W we could fit everything in it." Michael said.

"Sure." Calum said.

"I can drive." I said volunteering I want to get to know these guys better I want to be their friends.

"Okay that's fine."

He loaded up the car, and we drove to the soccer fields.

It wasn't hot but it also wasn't cold. I grabbed my hoodie and pulled it over my head. All the guys had there own soccer stuff on such as cleats and pants and shirts. They are well prepared.

I left my phone in my pocket. I was waiting for Bella to text me but she still hasn't tried I'm going to try to call her in a little bit after we're don't practicing.

We just stretched and warmed up and passed the ball around a little. I could tell these guys have played before. They're having like the perfect first touch. I wasn't doing half bad actually. It has been a few years sense I've played.

"Hey Ashton have you played soccer before you seem quiet normal with the ball." Luke asked me still dripping

"Yes I've played for 12 years actually."

"Wow ! I didn't know that." He said surprised

"Yeah and even Bella played soccer for 10 years she was better than me though." I said still focused on the ball.

"Yeah I remember playing soccer with her she wasn't that bad. She was better than me." Calum said he was smiling like a big one and I don't even know why.

"Yeah me too." Michael said with the same dumb look on his face.

I chose to ignore it I don't want to have to deal with a million questions and acting weird for what could be my new friends.

About 30 minutes later. My phone kept on vibrating . It was my sister. I wanted to pick it up but I didn't want to ruin the time of me getting to know the guys better. I set my phone on Calum's hoodie and ran back out to practice some more.

After about and hour of playing I went for a water brake. I picked up my phone I had 5 missed calls and 1 new voicemails . 2 of which are from my sister and 3 from a number I don't recognize.

I think I should call her back. I tried calling Bella's phone all I hear was the ring.....ring....ring....... And more ringing until it goes to her voicemail. That was strange Bella always picks up her phone.

I noticed the voice mail. It was from the unknown number. I think I should listen to the voicemail from them.

You have one new message. Hello Ashton Irwin we have tried contacting you from your sisters phone. Shes at the hospital and we need someone here for her. She got into a car accident around 11 o'clock and she said you were the first person to call. Please call us back.

Holy shit. I dropped my phone.

This is not happening

My sister is in the hospital

And I'm not there to help her !

They guys saw me dropped my phone from my ear. Luke asked hesitantly "Is everything okay ?"

I didn't say anything I was in shock after what happened. After what I had just heard. Michael walked over to me. He put his hand on my shoulder.

"Ashton...what's wrong your scaring me..."

"My sister..." I got the first sentence out.

"What about your sister ?" Calum asked

Luke and Ashton and Michael were all around me at this point.

"She's at the hospital I have to go ! " I said so fast they almost didn't hear me.

I was rushing around to grab my stuff crap I don't have a ride there.

"I can't get to her ! "

"It's ok , here take my car." Calum exclaimed.

He threw me the keys and I thanked him hugging him.

"Wait what are you going to do for a ride ?" I said.

"One of our parents can get us it's no problem really ! Go hurry get to Bella ! Text me if you need anything really," Calum said.

"Me too! "

"Yeah I have your back too." Luke said quietly looking down at his hands as if shy about something. Why would Luke be shy ?

I thanked them all and rushed to the car to the hospital.

Luke's P.O.V

We were out playing soccer when we decided to take a brake I noticed that Ashton's actually really good at soccer he's so nice too. like man where was he when I joined here ? Like he's so supportive and enthusiastic and smart.

We walked over to the fence to get a drink. Ashton was checking his phone like the rest of us. Ashton looked like he was going to call someone.

His face expressions changed in a blink of an eye. He was all jocular and comical and happy then bam he's face fell. He had a face as if someone shot him.

His phone dropped from his ear.

He didn't move one muscle.

He just stood there in like shock or something.

I looked at him if he was okay. He's breathing was rapid and you could tell he was thinking.

I was afraid to say something until I asked if he was okay.

It wasn't until he told us that he had to leave because his sister was in the hospital.

My heart stopped.

I was so worried for him. His twin sisters in the hospital and he's not with her. As soon as Calum gave him the keys he left right away and left us alone in the park. Michael called his mom and she picked us up and dropped us all off at home.

When I got home I couldn't stop thinking of Bella was she okay ? Is she safe ? What happened ? Can I beat the person up for hurting her ? Probably not but I could stop thinking of her.
