Chapter 52

Bella's P.O.V

Luke and I got into Luke's car and he wanted to drive as we made our way to the doctors.I was nervous because this could be my chance to tell people about my father, but I only have to last about another 6 months.

Luke noticed my nervousness and put one hand on the steering wheel and the other one on my knee as he drove. That actually calmed me down. Until we pulled into the doctors office.

"Hey baby look at me," Luke said looking at me, " It will be okay I promise, and I will be by your side until you get sick of me."

"Thanks Luke," I sighed opening the car door. Same as Luke as he got out.

We were walking into the office and right away I grabbed Luke's hand and I saw him smile. As we made into the front of the office the lady smiled at us, "Hello Mr.Hemmings."

"Hello Barbra is my cousin working today ?" He asked Barbra. I was perplexed what ? cousin ?

"Yes want me to get him for you ?"

"Actually can we see him for her ?" Luke asked her.

"Of course. Let me go in and get him for you go ahead and sign in." Barbra said getting up and walking away.

Luke was holding my hand as we made our way to the chairs to sit. I hit his chest with my hand.

"What was that for ?" He asked me rubbing his chest as if I hurt him.

"Why didn't you tell me it was your cousin ?!" I asked him, " Do you know how scared this is for me ?"

"Yes of course I knew but thats why I asked for my cousin so that It didn't scare you as much." Luke said in his defense.

"Okay," I sighed as he grabbed my hand again and brought it to his lips and kissed my knuckles.

"Annabella Irwin ?" The lady called for me which I have learned her name was Barbra, " Right this way."

I stood up and made my way into the room with Luke right behind me. We went into the room and Luke helped me sit down on the chair as he sat in one beside me.

"The doctor will be in her shortly," Barbra said leaving the room and closing the door behind her.

"Hey it's okay to be nervous." Luke said noticing my legs keep bouncing up and down.

"Trust me I know."

Right then the wooden door opened showing the doctor.

"Hey Luke !" The doctor said hugging him instantly.

"Hey Drake how have you been mate ?"

"Well and yourself ?"

"It's been great sense I got this one to finally date me." Luke said gesturing towards me.

"So this is the lucky women." Drake said setting his hand out for me to shake, "You must deal with a lot if your with Luke." He said and I just laughed but I stopped at it hurt to laugh.

"He is unique alright." I said, "Luke's very eccentric." I laughed as Drake did as well.

"You got that right he's a imbecilic." Drake said and we both laughed, but I  stopped realizing it was hurting worse.

"Okay okay is this just going to make fun of Luke come on you guys know I'm not that smart. I don't understand your smart people words." Luke sighed.

"So what brings you in...Annabella ?" Drake asked me.

As he took my temperature and my pulse. Then he went to feel my ribs and right when he touched them I gasped in pain. Luke stood up instantly.

"Your ribs ?" Dr.Drake said and I shake my head as saying yes, "If you don't mind I'll need you to lay back and lift up your shirt so I may look at your ribs." I nodded my head and followed his instructions.
