"You should have let me shoot them motherfuckers." Sean said still heated.
"Don't bring that nonsense in here boy." Lillian said. I knew that her nerves was going to be bad for the next few days because of this. I sat on the chair and closed my eyes. My throat was still on fire.
"Are you okay?" Tammi asked as she sat next to me.
"I'm fine."
"I think maybe you should go to the hospital."
"I'm fine. I promise. Imma be sore for a few days but I'll be okay."
"We should called the cops so you could press charges." Nella said.
"Nah its cool."
"That man almost killed you. You need to go to the police."
"I'm okay. No police is going to help this. I have a headache. I need to lay down."
"You wanna go back to the hotel?" I looked up at Lillian. She had a worried look on her face.
"Mind if we stay here for tonight?" I ask her.
"I prefer if you did." She said and I gave a nod.
"You wanna stay here?" Tammi asked.
"Yeah for tonight."
"You and Tammi can stay in her old room."
"Thank you. Imma go lay down. I have a headache." I slowly stood.
"You should go to the hospital." Lillian said again.
"I'll be fine." My body was weak and I was tired. Right now I just wanted to rest. Tammi helped me up stairs.
"Why did you wanna stay here?" Tammi asked once we were alone.
"Your mother is scared. Us being here will give her peace of mind."
"She told you that she was scared?"
"No but I know how to read body language." She lift my head to look at the bruse. She then pulled out her phone and begin taking pictures.
"Why are you taking pictures?"
"Just in case we need proof." After she was done she helped me strip and I laid down. She did the same laying down behind me. It wasn't late but that man choking me took a lot out of me. I'd handle everything later. Right now sleep was calling me.
Tammi
"How is she?" My mom asked me as I sat at the kitchen table.
"She's sleeping. And she's in pain."
"Why won't she go to the hospital?"
"She feels it won't help. They'll just give her some pain killers and send her on her way."
"They can call the police."
