Lynn

I finally made it back to work and wasn't really suprised to see that my crew had finished Sandra's house.

"Y'all did a wonderful job on Sandras house."

"Thank you." They all said happily.

"This is the longest you've been away." Rob one of my workers said.

"Taking care of my mental health and personal buisness. Mental health is important so if any of yall ever need a day off because of it let me know. I will completely understand." I motioned for Eric to follow me into my office. "How's the baby? Sorry that I didn't ask sooner. I was in a coma and everything." I joked but he had no amusement on his face.

"Jenna is doing good. Eating and pooping is what she does." I laughed. "How are you though? Are you sure you're ready to come back?"

"I'm going to be one hundred percent honest with you Eric. I don't know if I'm ready to come back. But I need something to do other then thinking. I promise if it becomes too much I'll take a brake."

"Well im glad we've come to an understanding." He said and I smiled.

"Yes boss we have."

"Don't call me boss." He joked as he walked out the door. No one knew how greatful I was for that man. I made a great decision when I made him partner.

I was happy that I made it all the way through the day without feeling bad physically in any kind of way. I was stepping out of my car when I got a call. I was suprised to see who was calling me. It was Dawn. I quickly answered.

"Hello?"

"I didn't know who else to call. Can you come over please?"

"I'm on my way." I didn't ask questions in case it was her cancer. In fact I got that feeling. I got there in no time. Where was Di? I didn't bother to knock. I just opened the door. I immediately went to the livingroom and found her on the floor. "Dawn. What's wrong?"

"It hurts."

"What does huh?"

"My stomach." She was balled up in the fetal position.

"We're going to the hospital. Come on."

"There just going to ammit me."

"So what. They'll be able to help you."

"I don't want to go Lynn." I stared down at her.

"You're in pain."

"I've been in pain a long time now. It'll go away I just hate being alone through it. Please stay." She looked so fragile.

"At least get on the chair. Can you stand?" She nodded forcing herself up. She slowly sat on the chair but immediately laid down. I sat down over her head. "Lift your head." I slid my leg under her head."

"Thank you Lynn."

"No problem. I'm not going anywhere." She grabbed my hand holding onto it. "Where's Di?" I asked needing to know.
