Tammi

I was so glad that I was off work today. I needed the day to cope with what's been going on. Jess was right. I needed to tell Lynn about my past. I needed my girlfriend back. To know she's been calling out of work because of me. I just knew she was hurting. Yet I couldn't build up the balls to call or go to her house. I knew she was angry with me. What to do?

Lynn

An unfamiliar number called me and I reluctantly answered.

"Hello?"

"Hello Mrs Townsend?"

"Yes?"

"Your new car is here and ready. Sorry for the delay." I forced back the tears. With what was going on I forgot all about the car I purchased for her.

"Hello?"

"Ah yeah. Thanks."

"Did you still want it?"

"Ah yes." I gave him Tammis address. He said it should be there that afternoon I then hung up. I didn't care about that car. I hoped she enjoyed it. I took another shot then laid back down. Sleeping this pain away seemed to finally be working.

Tammi

That night I heard commotion out my door. Looking out my window I seen a truck backing into my driveway.

"Ah hi can I help you?" I asked as he unchained a car.

"Hi. Lynn?" He asked.

"Tammi." I answered. He paused then read off my address to me.

"I was told to drop this off here by Lynn Townsend."

"Why?"

"Let me get this off my truck then I'll answer your questions." I waited for him to finish with what he was doing then he went to the front of his truck and pulled out an envelope and red ribbon. "I was supposed to get this here earlier but ran into another delay. I pray that's okay." I gave a nod. "Happy Birthday Tammi. I hope you enjoy your new car."

"My new car?"

"Yes Lynn wanted this specific car for you. We were out of them but she paid for one to be delivered and that's what's caused the weeks delay. She did not want no other car but this one. Enjoy your car Tammi." He handed me the card and a key and placed the ribbon on top of the hood. I waited until he drove away. I hit the unlock button on the key and watched as the car door unlocked. She had really got me a brand new car. After what I did she still allowed it to be delivered here? This made me hate myself even more. I opened the car door and slid inside. I looked around. Everything was brand spanking new. How could I allowed Diana to destroy us like this? I had to make this right even if it ment telling Lynn about my past. I needed her to know that I still loved her and I never stopped.

Diana

It's been two weeks since I last spoke to Lynn. She didn't return any of my calls or text. I wondered if she was okay.

"Go check on her." I looked over at Dawn smiling. "I know you're worried about her. It's not like Lynn not to return calls." She was right about that. She sometimes answered my calls while she was at work but now? Nothing. I sighed. I needed to go see if she was okay.
