Tammi
I was glad when Lynn didn't pressure me about the conversation we had two days ago. The doctors was surprised that she recovered as quickly as she did. She was now allowed to go home. They rolled her out the front door and I helped her in the car but I didn't close the door I just continued to stare down at her.
"What?" She asked.
"I wanted to thank you. I so greatly appreciate you." She looked at me confused. "The damn brand new car Lynn. That you're sitting it. Thank you so much." She looked around the car and smiled.
"You're welcome. Show me how she drives." I closed her door and made my way to the driver's side. We drove in silence for a while then.
"Blue." She said as if she just realized she had a dog. "I've been neglecting that dog."
"I've been taking care of her for you." I said glancing over at her. She sighed with relief.
"Thank you."
"No problem at all. Me and Blue are friends. I'm thinking of getting a dog myself."
"That's good. They show nothing but love."
"I know. With how Blue gets excited when she see you. I would love to come home to that everyday." I watched as she leaned the chair back. She looked to be in pain. "Are you okay?"
"Stomach is still a little tender. I'll be okay."
"Want anything before we get to the house?"
"No just to lay down."
"The doctor said you should take at least another week off work..." She smiled.
"Don't worry. I'll take my week off. I need it anyway."
Once we got to her place I helped her inside and Blue came happily prancing towards us.
"Hey girl." Lynn said happy to see her also. "You hungry?" She went into the kitchen feeding her. Once done she came into the livingroom where I was. I knew things would be ockward between us. She just stood there watching me.
"What?" I asked.
"You already know what. We need to talk. I need to know everything." I knew she was going to say that.
"Okay but can I get something to drink first?"
"Sure thing. Oh my phone is dead. Can I use yours. I need to call Eric."
"Sure." I handed her my phone. "No work for a week." I reminded her and she smiled.
"I know nurse."
Lynn
I looked in Tammis contacts to find Eric's number but ended up in the text messages. Her phone was glitchy. That ment she was running out of storage space. Before I got out of the messages I seen Dianas name. Why were they texting each other? One sentence caught my attention. It read.
"Don't worry I'm not like you. I won't tell her you are the reason I broke up with her." I frowned. What did she mean? Scrolling up I begin reading more messages. Why would Diana force Tammi to brake up with me? This didn't make any sense. She was threatening her to tell me about her son she gave up. Why would Diana do this? I was so confused. Not needing to stress out I took a deep breath and still called Eric. Di was going to hear from me.
