Y/N's POV - DAY 2 - 1st Full Day in LA

I woke up feeling refreshed and pain free for the first time in weeks. I couldn't help but smile at the thought. Damn, that's fucking nice. I slowly sat up and caught my bearings in the unfamiliar room.

Oh yeah. I'm at Lizzie's house. In LA. Fucking Wild.

I get up, put my sports bra back on along with my hoodie and head into the guest bathroom to brush my teeth and make myself look somewhat presentable. I threw my hair up into a bun and splashed some cold water onto my face to try and wake myself up. I took a look at myself in the mirror, threw up some finger guns at myself, then immediately cringed at how weird that was.

"Why are you like this?" I asked my reflection and sighed as I walked into the hallway that leads to the stairs. I have to pass Lizzie's room on my way so I slow down to take a quick peek and see if she's in there. Through the small crack between the door and the frame, I can see that her bed is empty and there are no sounds coming from her bathroom. She must be downstairs.

I go down the stairs to find another empty room - her kitchen. Where did she go? I walk further into the room and notice a small piece of paper laid out on her kitchen island.

Ah, she left a note. Now, I'm not overly fond of notes due to the last one being such bullshit, but I pick it up and read it, hoping to get some clarification as to where my crush is... yeah, I know. Might as well just admit it.

Y/N,

Good morning! I went to work but like I said, I should be back around noon. Feel free to make yourself coffee or anything you want since it's one of the three meals you know how to make. I left directions by the machine on how to work it. Text me if you need anything! I'll be back soon.

-Liz

I laughed at the letter and smirked at the end. She used 'Liz'. I wondered if that was on purpose as I chuckled to myself. Even her notes were cute. I also liked the way my name looked in her handwriting.

I walk over to the coffee machine located in the back corner of the kitchen and find her note with the directions on how to use it. I smile again at the effort she went to making sure I was comfortable in her home without her.

I managed to brew some coffee without breaking the machine or burning the house down, which I considered a huge success. I opened her fridge and my jaw dropped open. She has so many groceries it's insane. My fridge has never been this stocked in my entire life. There was so much produce and vibrant colors jumping out at me under the artificial refrigerator light. God forbid she ever saw my fridge as it looks absolutely nothing like this.

I blinked my eyes a few times and focused back on the task at hand. I located her coffee creamer and kept looking for one more thing.... ha! There it is! I grabbed the can of whipped cream as well as I smiled hard at the fact she had some.

I fixed my coffee up the way I like it, adding a generous swirl of whipped cream to the top and sprinkling some cinnamon on just for fun. Satisfied with my work, I put everything back where it is supposed to go and wiped the counter in case I spilled any drops that I didn't notice.

As I was waiting for the coffee to cool, I went back upstairs and changed out of my hoodie and into a black tank top that had a Bon Iver logo on it, one of my favorite singers, and threw my hair up into a messy bun. I grabbed my book from my backpack as well and made my way back to the kitchen.
