A/N: Please be advised that this chapter, Y/N will go to therapy for the first time in a while. I am not a therapist, nor do I have any training in such fields. Please do not take the advice of the 'therapist' as truth. It's all just my best guess, which is probably not going to be very good but, oh well!

Thanks and happy reading!

Y/N's POV

The next few days have come and gone. My kids were all very excited to see me again, as I was them. I genuinely love them, but because I have such strong relationships, they knew something was up with me. I tried to put on brave faces for all of them throughout the day. Sometimes it worked, other times... not so much. I felt like Micheal Scott in that one episode of The Office.

It was now Wednesday, the day of my therapy appointment, and I was having a hard time focusing on the school day.

"Hey, Ms. Y/L/N, everything okay?"

I smiled up at Bri, one of my favorite students and shrugged. She was one of the ones that could read me better than most.

"I'm okay." I tried to say it convincingly.

She scoffed back at me and replied "I don't think so but obviously you don't have to tell me."

I smiled up to her again and said "I appreciate the concern, but I'll be fine. Let's just say my winter break had some really good high points, but also some sobering low points."

She nodded and gave me a reassuring smile before sitting back down. Finding my resolve, I stood up and greeted my kids for the day. "Alright, everyone! I hope you have all been having the best day. Now, please open your books and turn to page 394." I said, smirking.

Bri, being one of the only students in the class who likes to read and understood most of my references, just started laughing. "You did not just say that."

I joined in on her laughter and noticed how all of the other kids looked around very confused which made me laugh even harder.

"I'm just kidding." I said still chuckling and thinking I'm very hilarious. "Open to page 57 please."

Maybe this wouldn't be such a bad day after all?

——

The clock struck 3:30pm and the bell rang to dismiss all the students for the day. I was walking back to my classroom from the office when I heard a voice call after me.

"Y/N!"

Turning around, I felt a huge smile fill my face at the sight of my work buddy. "Hey, Mila."

She caught up to me and smiled, but the smile faltered when she took a good look at my face.

"What's wrong?"

Ugh, can everyone tell?

"Damn, I thought I was doing a better job of hiding it." I awkwardly chuckled and rubbed the back of my neck with my right hand.

"Nope," She said, giving me a warm smile. "You didn't text or call during the break so I figured everything was good?"

"Some parts were really good. Others, not so much."

"How is it with Kevin? Last time we spoke, things weren't the best."

"Actually, we came to an agreement." I took a deep breath and released it before saying "We're getting a divorce."
