Mahira's POV:
It was evening time and I got the liberty of skipping today's match, gonna watch this from my hotel, it was SRH vs KXIP, I was locked in my room since 4'o clock because I was engrossed in the work, when suddenly I heard the door of my room banging. I got up and opened the door, Sakshi Bhabhi it was.
"Why are you not picking up your phone?", She asked me with worried expressions.
"Bhabhi I am working, and phone silent pe hai.", I said and she shook her head but calmed herself.
"Is your work done?", She asked me.
"Mm no. But almost there.", I said.
"Okay do your work and come down asap.", She said with a smile and I could sense the urgency in her voice.
"What happened bhabhi?", I asked her.
"Nothing baba. Finish your work and come down na.", She said and I nodded, she went back and I went inside to complete the work, feeling anxious all the time as to why was she so worried.
I finished my work asap, and took my phone, there were tons of missed calls from Sakshi Bhabhi, I ran downstairs and saw that everyone was there. Almost everyone. Including Rishab, which surprised me a bit because he isn't here at this time usually.
As they all saw me coming, all of their eyes were fixed on me now.
"What happened guys?", I asked with a half smile, apparently because I didn't know what to do.
"Did you check the news bachcha?", Jaddu bhai asked me and I shook my head.
"Why what happened?", I was getting nervous now, Mahi Bhai who was standing till now, held my hand and made me sit, sitting down himself beside me.
I unlocked my phone and opened refreshed my google timeline, only to be greeted by a headline that read
"WHO IS THAT MYSTERY GIRL WITH RISHAB PANT?",
I opened the article and it had my name, as apart from being rishu's girlfriend I am also a member of BCCI.
"What?", I said, well tbh, it didn't bother me as much as the expressions of the other people in the room but I was shocked, I thought this happens only in India.
"Check your Instagram.", Sakshi bhabhi whispered.
I opened my IG, to be greeted by thousands of follow requests on my account,thankfully I have a private account so that's not gonna be a problem but then there were so many pictures of me and rishab from the time we were having breakfast by the beach, all blur and hazy as they have been taken from a distance, I mentally sighed because thankfully there wasn't any picture of what happened few minutes before the breakfast, but hey, that's not what we are talking about rn.
"So what next?", I looked around the room and everyone was looking at me with serious expressions as if something very bad has happened.
"Listen beta, I just need to tell you one thing, don't be bothered by this, hota rehta hai ye sab, it's no big deal, they can't do anything to you, so do not worry about anything. Kuch bhi nahi hoga, hum sab hai na tumhare sath.", Mahi bhai who was sitting beside me said that in the calmest voice.
"Ofcourse Mahi Bhai, I'm not bothered, when I started dating Rishab, I signed myself for all of this as well, I knew this is gonna happen at some point and have kept myself mentally prepared for it.", I answered very honestly and rishab passed me a smile.
"And what about your family Mahira?", Priyanka bhabhi asked me and that's when it hit me, shit! I haven't told my family yet, and now they're gonna see the news and I don't know how they would react.
