Mahira's POV:
It was the night of MI vs KKR. We all arrived in the stadium and on the gate itself I was greeted by Sanjana. Sanjana Ganesan. Who now happens to be Sanjana Bumrah. I have met her a couple of time in the BCCI office and she is a pretty sweet lady. We hugged each other on the gate itself.
"Heyy! How have you been?" She asked breaking the hug.
"Amazing. You?"
"Same. I hope you're enjoying working with the team."
"Can't express enough. This is the best job ever seriously."
"i know. We have so much fun together you know. Today to I'm here with my MI family. Come I'll introduce you to everyone.", She said and dragged my hand.
"Sanju no. Wait. Actually now I have to go up and continue with the work which has to be completed before the match. I'll meet you after the match. Pakka.", I said sounding as nice as possible. I didn't want to turn her down. Obviously I wanted to meet everyone. But duty calls.
"Okay surely. Meet me after the match.", She said and I went in before waving her goodbye.
(Not gonna describe the match, because draws extra work to me.)
After the match:
I completed my work and went to Sanjana. She was standing outside only.
"Arey. Come on.", She said and took my hand and dragged me inside. As soon as we entered everyone started looking at us..
"Guys. She is Mahira, my friend. She is the newest and youngest member of BCCI's management team.", She introduced me to everyone and they all welcomed me with sweet greetings. After the CSK camp this too feels like one huge family.
"I'm a very big fan of you bhai.", I instantly started calling everyone bhai , they didn't even need to tell me to do so now. And this btw I said to Rohit bhai.
"Thankyou bchcha!", He said patting my head.
"Han hum sab to ekdum bekar hai!", Hardik bhai said rolling his eyes making me giggle.
"Seriously hardik, she has just met you. And you are back at being you again.", Rohit bhai said to him.
"No bhai it's okay. I am a fan of him and all of you as well but I'm not gonna say it to him now. He has pre decided ki wo bekar hai.", I said very sarcastically looking at Rohit Bhai and he gave me a hi five.
"I like you already.", Surya bhai said to me.
"And you played exceptionally well today.", I said to him, he made a half century today. One of the reasons why MI won.
"Oh watch me. Many more such performances coming.", He said with a proud grin.
"Looking forward to it. Just not against CSK.", My over excited self blurted that out again.
"That's why I was thinking where I have seen you before.", Hardik walked up to me now.
"Han bhai same. Us din match me. Camera man ko shayad tum pasand aa gayi.", Ishan said , I wasn't surprised that I was shown during match. Camera man is famous for doing this.
"Han use sab pasand aa jate hai.", I replied and they all laughed.
"So you were cheering for CSK that day?", Ishan asked me and I nodded.
"Achhaaaaaa! Iske samne koi galti se bhi strategy discuss mat karna haan.", Surya bhai said and we all started laughing.
"We don't need to hear your strategies to win the match.", I replied back and it was a very funny banter between us.
"Come with us na.", Ritika Bhabhi said and they took me inside where Samaira and Agastya were playing. My heart🥺.
"Hello babies!", I ran to them. Both of them smiled at me.
"Hello.", Samaira said and Agastya just giggled.
"Sammy baby. This is your newest friend Mahira", Ritika bhabi introduced me to Samaira.
"Friends?", Samaira gave me her cute little hands for a handshake like how kids do with their friends.
"Yes. Friends.", I said and shook her hands.
"This is my friend Agastya. He is also your friend. But he is a baby so he won't talk to you.", Samaira explained in the cutest way possible. And Agastya was laughing.
"He likes you. Wrna he runs away from strangers.", Natasa bhabi came and sat across me.
"I'm a fan of kids.", I replied taking Agastya in my arms.
"What about having kids of your own?", She said making me shocked. And ritika bhabi started laughing.
"Kidding baba.", She saw my shocked expressions and covered for herself.
"Never thought of getting married yk.", I expressed how I genuinely feel.
"Why? Any previous bad experiences?", Ritika bhabi asked me with a concerned look clouding her face.
"No Bhabhi. Not that. It's just that how I see marriages here in India. Girls always have to compromise with something or the other. And the way I have been brought up, I don't think I'll be able to constraint even a small part of me because someone else wants it.", I have never spoken this frankly infront of anyone tbh. But how they made me feel like a family, I just blurted out everything infront of them.
"See Mahira. Getting married is a beautiful thing. But I can't disagree with you on this, 95% of Indian marriages have girls compromising with their happiness to keep the groom's family happy.", Ritika bhabhi gave me a sad smile.
"I hope you'll get someone who'll love you so much that your I don't want to get married thought will go away. And if he is even a little bit like our husbands, you'll not have to compromise with anything. So I hope you get a man like our husbands or even better.", Natasa bhabi said and tbh she really did make me think of what if I meet someone who I'll genuinely fall in love with. And if you are in love with someone. No compromise feels like it's a compromise. But I shook that thought off. Only if I ever meet someone.
"Chalo. See wo kitne deep thoughts me chali gayi. Don't make her worry about all of this now.", Sanjana came and sat next to me.
"Arey isme worry ka kya hai? I completely agree with both of them. Maybe I'll get someone, you never know.", I smirked.
"Yeah. Hopefully you will.", Sanjana squeezed my shoulders. And we continued with normal chit chats and playing with Samaira and Agastya before my team mates called me that we are leaving.
"I can't explain how good y''all made me feel.", I said to them all, even the boys were there. All the ladies and Sammy hugged me.
"You are my friend so you will come to meet me soon na?", Sammy asked me before I was leaving.
"Super soon baby.", I said and kissed her cheeks.
"Zarur se aana.", Rohit bhai hugged me and I left.
Ishan dropped me to the gate and made me promise that the next time when I'll visit them he and I both will make fun of Hardik together and have fun. And I agreed obviously.
Will Mahira's opinion on love change?
Will she ever meet someone who will change her perspective on getting married?
I know you all wanted to see some moments between rishab and Mahira. But I want to establish a strong description of Mahira's character. And develop her bond with everyone hence these chapters are necessary.
One more update lovelies. I have written a beautiful chapter ahead and can't wait for you guys to read it soon. That's why this update.
