It was the day of combined Mehendi and Haldi function, Mehendi in the day and Haldi at night.(idk which one happens first usually, I just referred to Katrina Kaif's wedding pictures and she already had Mehendi in her hands in haldi pictures so I put mehendi before haldi.)
Mahira's POV:
I was getting ready with all these beautiful ladies around me, they are completely gonna overshadow me.
"Girls please, it's my day, let me have the spotlight.", I yelled as the makeup artist curled my hair and a chain of laughter was heard, they think I'm joking. I'm not.
"And when did you not have the spotlight? Normal days me bhi you are the Prettiest of all.", Sakshi bhabhi came as she stood beside me and I stared at her from the mirror. She was looking so so pretty.
"Nah! Mahi Bhai's choice is the prettiest!", I said sticking my tongue out at her and she hit my shoulder lightly.
"Stop spending so much time with Deepak!", She said.
"Aye! You look so pretty!", Anushka Bhabhi came running to us as her makeup was over.
"Thankyou!", I gave her a nervous smile.
My makeup was done soon, and so was everyone else's. I did recieve a shower of compliments.
And that's when Shreyas came into our makeup hall.
"Oye boys not allowed here!", Ritika bhabhi said to him.
"Kitna time lagaoge ab aaplog?", He said in a slightly irritated voice.
"Aa hi rahe hai hum sab. Go.", Sakshi bhabhi said to him very politely and that's when he looked at me, I gave him a smile and he gave me a thumbs up.
"Jaldi aajao, Rishu is waiting!", Shreyas said and I nodded, and with that he ran out of the room.
"Chalein?", Sakshi bhabhi asked me with a wide smile and I nodded, they all had surrounded me like bees surround honey. I walked down with them, and as the gates of the castle opened into the garden where everyone else was, everyone started looking at me, I'm used to attention hence I wasn't very nervous, I just kept smiling, Rishab was also looking at me with the most genuine smile, as both Sakshi and Anushka Bhabhi walked me down the stairs, Rishab was standing at the bottom with his hand stretched for me to hold, and so I did but before I could make any conversation with Rishab, Mahi Bhai came to me and I turned my entire attention on him.
"Bohot pyaari lag rahi ho!", He said as he cupped my cheeks and kissed my forehead, I leaned forward and hugged him. He hugged me back.
"Thanks Mahi Bhai!", I said while giggling, Rishab was just staring at us with heart eyes, Mahi Bhai must've noticed him.
"Tu bhi aaja!", He said gesturing him to join us and so he did, Mahi Bhai hugged us both for a few seconds and then backed off, everyone surrounded us by then, and I was taken to my seat, Rishab had nothing to do now.
"You look beautiful!", Rishab whispered in my ear when we were posing for some pictures, and I just smiled at him.
"Rishab humein bhi chance do pictures lene ka with Mahira!", Priyanka bhabhi said and he blushed and nodded.
"Yes yes!", Rishab said with a shy smile and went with the boys.
Very soon the henna artists came and I had to be seated, and that was the biggest task, I can do anything with ease except being seated in a place for a long time, Sakshi Bhabhi was adjusting my dupatta, almost every other girl were themselves getting mehendi applied on their hands.
"Bhabhi aap bhi laga lena mehendi!", I said to her because if I won't force her, she will keep looking after every other thing.
"No no!", She said, I knew she'll say that.
