DC vs CSK
Qualifier 1
Mahira's POV:
So after a month of fun, thrill, suspense, victories and losses, the league matches were over and it was time for Qualifier 1. A lot of mixed emotions were running into my mind, as one side was My Love and the other side was the reason I met my love.
I know for a matter of fact that no matter what happens, my heart will always root for CSK. And here we are, finally, even though I'm so sad that it's time for IPL to end, I can't wait to see my CSK lift the trophy, if that happens
DC started batting, Prithvi was ferocious, he scored a 60 off 34 but was soon dismissed by Jaddu bhai, Shreyas also got out on 1. Then came Rishu, and doesn't matter the results, I want him to.perform well atleast, and so he did 51* off 35, he finished the match in Mahi Bhai style, DC put up a decent score of 172, which if circumstances are to be considered,CSK can chase easily.
Ruturaj being Ruturaj, he was unstoppable yet again, scoring a 70 off 50, he was dismissed by Avesh Khan and there was pin drop silence around the stadium, I guess I'm not the only one who was awaiting a second century, we are eitherways taking the orange cap home now, doesn't matter where goes the trophy. Robin Uthappa was a surprise package, it was his first match for CSK, and he scored 63 valuable runs, but after he was sent back to the pavillion by Tom Curran, the match sided towards DC, as Mahi bhai sent Shardul to bat and he got out on duck. Ambati Rayudu and Moeen Ali couldn't do wonders as well, and we were a little relieved that Jaddu Bhai is still remaining but no, Mahi Bhai came out to bat in the 18th over, we were expecting a miracle.
The 18th over was given to Avesh Khan, wo has dismissed mahi bhai maybe twice before again, and the second ball he threw to Mahi Bhai was up in the air and straight into the hands of the audience, it was a sixer, and oh, the way the stadium erupted into cheers was a sight to see. Yet again,the helicopter was flying, in the 19th over, Mahi bhai gave a hat trick of fours and CSK won the match. We are into the finals now, yellow flags waving all over the stadium and we were jumping and cheering in joy.
I ran inside the dressing room as soon as Mahi Bhai entered and he was bombarded by hugs from everyone. Obviously, Sakshi bhabhi was the first one to go and hug him and none of us could have interrupted their moment.
"Tu kuch nahi bolegi?", Mahi bhai said as he looked at me, obviously I wasn't in the mood to speak, I just ran up to him and hugged him.
"Speechless kar diya aapne mujhe.", I said and he hugged me back.
"Wah mahi bhai aapne ek aur impossible ko possible kar diya aaj, warna ye chup hoti kahan hai?", Deepak said and we all laughed, not in the mood to argue with him today.
"Mahira! I know tum bohot khush ho. Lekin tumhari ek aur bhi responsibility hai.", Mahi bhai said and I immediately understood what he was talking about, I gave him an understanding nod.
"Main aati hoon!", I turned towards the rest of the people and walked out to leave.
"Don't worry tumhare bina celebrate nahi karenge.", Rutu said as I was leaving,making me smile.
I went to where Rishu was, and I found him in the balcony itself.
"Rishu!", I tried to act more cheerful than usual.
"Hey!", He turned towards me with a small smile which immediately disappeared. "Congratulations", he whispered in a quiet tone with a sad smile.
"Yeah well, congratulations to you too! You scored a half century.", I said patting his back and he chuckled. And there was silence once again.
"You should be with your team now. Celebrate", he said looking down.
"Yes we will, but I wanted to be here with you now. You okay?", I asked him finally.
"Yes yes. We'll get another chance.", He said, forcing a smile on his face but I know how much this was hurting him.
"Ae rishab!", Shreyas came to us and we both turned to look at him.
"Oh mahira you also here. What are you guys doing here? Come inside.", Shrey called us and I nodded.
"Samjhao ise. Sad ho raha hai.", I said to Shrey and rishab shook his head in a no.
"Ise bhi pata hai we'll get another chance. Don't worry bro we are still the table toppers.", Shreyas said and Rishab nodded with a smile.
"Yes exactly. Chalo ab.", I said and pulled Rishab inside.
"Rishu if you want main chalun tumhare sath aaj? I can stay with you tonight.", I offered.
"No no, I don't want to keep you from celebrating.", He said and smiled at me.
We both went to the common room and Mahi Bhai was there already, he took rishu somewhere and spoke some alien talk to him, I did not even eavesdrop, why should I?
"Mahira hotel chale jao, all the ladies have gone.", Mahi bhai said to me after talking to Rishab and I nodded, "I've booked a cab, for both you and rishu, he'll drop you first and then drop rishu to his hotel.", Mahi bhai said and I nodded. In that way we'll get some time to talk alone.
"Chalo rishu!", I held his hand and we both walked out, he opened the door of the cab for me and I sat down.
"Rishu silence doesn't suits you!", I nudged him as we were on the way back home.
"Main kya bolun?", He asked me.
"Kuch bhi, jaise ki wo dekho moon!", I said pointing towards the sky and he laughed.
"Wow! What an achievement Mahira! Mujhe laga Vee bhai baithe hai bulb jala kar.", Rishab said making me laugh, thank god I am halfway successful.
"Han aur unke around wo saare stars, wo tumlog baithe ho candles lekar.", I said and he shook his head.
"Aur tum kahan ho?", He asked me.
"Main yahan! Tumhare paas.", I leaned on his shoulder and he pressed a kiss on my forehead muttering a small 'I love you' which I heard.
"Rishu my mom has been nudging me since that day. Jaldi se Shadi karlo, nazar lag jayegi,etc etc.", I told him, not because I want to get married soon, just because I had to tell him.
"Meri mom ne to pandit ji se baat bhi karni shuru kar di hai!", He said and we both laughed, parents you see.
"Honestly though, you wanna get married?", Rishab asked me looking at me seriously.
"Ofc I want to!", I said, and he laughed.
"This is the same girl I met few months ago and she was like, 'Huh, I never want to get married' ", he teased me.
"Well people change, we are all on a constant path of development, aren't we?", I said flipping my hair.
"Yes yes, ye philosophy required nahi thi waise.", He said and I hit his shoulder playfully, he is back to normal.
Okay so umm.... I know it's gross, but I just want this to end asap now as I honestly feel I've over written this one. But don't worry, it's gonna end beautifully, so excuse this crap excuse of a chapter!
