Something bad is about to happen. It's a feeling that's been plaguing me since I awoke this morning. The closer I get to the Salvatore house, the more intense it gets. Then again, maybe it's just because I keep remembering what had happened the day before. I feel the sense of bitterness attempting to prevail as my main emotion. Why you may ask? Because I know, without a doubt, that what happened was all Elena's fault.

~16 Hours Earlier~

I'm sitting on the couch doing my homework when the phone rings. I was mostly avoiding Ric. It was weird that Jeremy and Elena were so close to our history teacher. I, however, was enough of a freak, I didn't need to add that to the list. So I avoided him like the plague whenever he was over. Like now where he was joining us for family dinner as if he were a part of the family and not hiding the fact that his dead wife was actually undead from our aunt. When the phone rings, I look up from my notebook only to see Jenna grabbing it so I shrug and go back to my work.

It wasn't until I hear Elena shout, "Jenna no!" That my head snaps up. I watch as Jenna's hand moves to drive the knife in her hand into her stomach. However, before it can run her through, a pale hand stops it, fighting against Jenna's and creating a large gash on the Strawberry Blonde's hand which seems to snap her out of the compulsion.

"God, I am such a klutz," she chuckles self-derisively before hissing in pain. "Shit, I think I might need stitches."

"I'll take you," Ric volunteers, shooting us all a look as he leads our aunt away. The minute the front door closes, I fix my gaze on my best friend.

"How did you know?"

"I didn't," she reveals, looking at the bloody knife. "Katherine called and told me that I should check on you since Elena couldn't follow directions." Both women share a frown before the blonde fixes the doppelgänger with a harsh glare. "Stay away from my brother," she warns. "If anything happens to Bella because of your idiocy, mark my words, I will kill you painfully while my brothers watch. Got it?" All Elena can do is nod before Ellie grabs me and leads me up to my room to discuss Katherine's actions.

~Present ~

I'm so consumed with reliving what could've been yet another tragedy in my life that I'm going through everything on autopilot. This is probably why I don't notice that I'm in the Salvatore Boarding House until I hear Stefan say, "We're going to kill Katherine."

"I'm sorry what?" I exclaim as Ellie makes her way over to me.

"They're going to kill Katherine. I'm not participating." Damon glares at his sister.

"You're seriously not going to help us protect Elena." Elenor glares back. It's weird to see her sunny disposition fall and I can tell that it slightly scares Damon, even if he's reluctant to show it.

"First of all, Katherine isn't going after Elena, if she were, she would've killed her, not compelled Jenna to hurt herself. Second of all, no, I'm not. Personally, I hope the bitch dies," she sneers and Damon smirks.

"Oh, you'll help."

"And why's that?" Rather than answering, he rushes towards me, but before he can get too close, he pauses, falling down to his knees as I feel a warmth rush through me as if I were outside and the sun was shining down on me, not inside a stuffy mansion. Stefan rushes to his brother's side, watching in horror as the raven-haired man begins vomiting up a familiar purple flower. It isn't until I notice the familiar belladonna plant blossoming at his feet that I realize that I'm the one doing this, and quickly focus on something else.

Once Damon finally recovers, he glares at his sister who's looking at me, clearly knowing that was my doing. For a moment, I'm worried that she's going to tell them it was me, but she just sports a cocky look while glancing at her brother. "You were saying?"
