Belladonna was sitting on the windowsill in her bedroom. It was so similar to the one at her old house that a sense of nostalgia washed over her. She was avoiding people. After she was knocked out by Bonnie, Jeremy had found her in the hallway after watching Bonnie drag Elena out of the school. He immediately went to get Klaus because even if he disliked the hybrid, he knew that he cared for his sister and wouldn't want her hurt.
Klaus had tried to take Bella home but found that they were trapped. She ended up waking soon enough and gathered with the three Salvatores, Kol, Kat, and Elijah to figure out what was happening. Kol had been the one to figure out that the witches that were on Esther's side that had access to Bonnie's magic had possessed her. Bella had then realized that it must've been Esther that was messing with Alaric and she was doing something to Elena. Damon wanted to kill Bonnie, but Bella refused, claiming it wasn't her fault and they needed to figure out how to save her.
The answer had come in the form of Hermes delivering a message from her father in front of everyone. He had told her that she could wield her power over the dead to make the witches leave Bonnie alone. She had agreed, going with Hermes while Ellie attempted to lower the boundary spell. Bella had managed, with Hermes' coaching, to save Bonnie, but not before she had used Ric's ring to make the real last White Oak stake immortal. She had also replicated Esther's vampirism spell on Alaric who had decided not to turn.
Bella had attempted to be there for Jenna since she knew her aunt had cared for Alaric but she assured her niece that they hadn't held feelings for each other for a while. Besides, he was with Meredith. So she had gone home and locked herself in her room, still reeling over Klaus' revelation. This leads her to today, sitting in her window and watching the nature outside. Eventually, she hears a knock on the door. She can sense who it is through the door and elects to ignore him, hoping that he'll leave if he thinks she's asleep.
He doesn't, however, and instead, Klaus gently opens the door only to find her ignoring him in favor of looking out the window. "I thought you were asleep," he states and she rolls her eyes.
"And yet you entered anyway."
"Bella--"
"Just stop. I thought you were leaving. Shouldn't you be gone by now?"
"Is that what this is about? Me leaving town?" She wants to tell him that it's about him leaving her, but she refrains.
"You know what? Yes, it is about leaving town. You were so upset when your siblings wanted to leave and now you expect everybody to just pack up their lives and leave."
"They will be fine with it. Elijah will go wherever Katerina goes and so long as her pardon stands, she will stay by your side."
"Except I can't leave! What about that concept is so difficult to understand for you? Senior year is barely halfway over. I finally have friends and a life and I can't just abandon it for some guy that makes decisions on the fly whenever something tickles his fancy, so if you want to go, just get it over with, but I'm not going with you." He looks at her with hurt coursing through his veins.
He knew that she had nothing truly tying her to this town and he didn't understand why she wouldn't go with him. She claims to care for him and defend him and his family, yet she would abandon him. "As if school is such an important part of your life. You're just looking for an excuse to abandon me!"
She finally looks at him, rage dancing within her eyes. "I'm abandoning you? You've got to be fucking kidding me right now! I'm not the one ditching you to go travel the world that you've seen a million times in your thousand years of life. What exactly do you think you're going to find out there?" She stands up from her seat and stalks over to him. "Do you even have a plan? Do you know where you're going or have you just decided to leave and expected everyone to follow?"
