After Aphrodite left, the Mikaelsons arrived quickly, having learned from Caroline that the Salvatores were planning something. They were surprised to find Bella attempting to scrub Elena's blood from the floor as Klaus attempts to get her attention. It's clear that's she's ignoring him but they aren't sure why. Truth be told, Bella isn't really sure why she's ignoring him either. She's still pissed about his plans to leave but for some reason learning that he knew Aphrodite and hadn't said anything when she told him about the circumstances of her birth really irked her nerves.
"What exactly did we miss?" Rebekah asks and Klaus looks at her before rolling his eyes.
"Sister! And here I thought you had decided to abandon me while you got out of this one-horse town." The last part of the sentence was directed at Bella who finally breaks her silence.
"This one-horse town is the place where I was raised and more importantly where I go to school. I can't just up and leave but if you want to then be my guest," she growls before going back to scrubbing at the blood. There was no reason that Elena should've lost so much blood and all it had done was create an even bigger inconvenience for her. "I should've let them desiccate you."
"What was that, Love?" He challenges and she glares at him once more.
"I said I should've let them desiccate you, you narcissistic prick! I mean how fucking dumb are you?You should've snapped Elena's neck when you had the chance but no. Instead, you attempted to drain her of her blood for your stupid fucking hybrids and now Alaric is still running around town doing God knows what and Elena's safely tucked away in the house you can't enter."
"And whose fault is that?" He asks.
"Yours! Weren't you listening?"
"Of course I was. In fact, I was listening very well when you admitted that you allowed my hybrid to leave town and break his Sire Bond, thus allowing him to rescue your dreadful sister."
"And I never would've done that if you hadn't sired him into biting Caroline which newsflash, ended up with me almost dying!"
"I already told you I never intended to let her die!"
"Oh because you're so FUCKING reliable, right? I can trust your word ALL THE TIME! You told Elijah you'd reunite him with your family and then did, after daggering him, of course. You pardoned Katherine, but not without conditions, right? Face it, Klaus, your word means absolutely nothing and that's on you!" With her piece said, she stands from the floor, throwing the scrub brush down, and storms up the stairs.
"Oh sure, make me the villain as if I'm not stuck with your damn mark on my wrist!" Bella doesn't answer and in his anger, Klaus throws the glass of bourbon in his hand at the wall. Once it seems as if he's relatively calm, Rebekah speaks.
"What mark?" Klaus opens his mouth to speak but Kol beats him to it.
"It's a symbol of a deal with the divine. Bella's not supposed to make them because if they are broken, the bearer of the mark dies. Nik here made one to save us all from our dreadful mother."
"Bloody hell," Rebekah states, leveling her idiotic brother with a glare. "Why would you make a deal like that and why haven't you fulfilled it?"
"I made the deal to save us all from Mother. However, I bargained for a favor to be determined at a later date. Until she decides what it is, I can't get rid of this bloody mark."
"Wonderful, so we have an immortal hunter to kill, a mark that might end your life at any given moment, and the Salvatores to worry about," Elijah sighs and Katherine walks in.
"Actually, we only need to worry about Alaric. The mark will only have the potential to kill Klaus once Bella's decided what favor she wants and only if he goes back on his word. As for the Salvatores, they teamed up with Tyler Lockwood to save their damsel and attempted to desiccate Klaus but Bella stopped them and made Stefan desiccate Damon. Our only issue is that we don't know where Ric is and if we go after Elena then there's no guarantee he won't be protecting her."
