Five days after getting kidnapped, Bella was strolling through the woods with Ellie on her way to magic lessons. She was getting better at learning control. She had completely mastered Shadow Travel and her plant abilities, as well as gotten a grasp on the beginnings of her charm powers. She could now recognize when she was using it and use it at will. Her divine magic was also moving along. She could now do normal spells and fight against any type of nature magic.
Due to her progress, Hecate had decided that they should move on to her powers over the dead. Now, she was going to meet Hermes, Hecate, and her father, so she brought Ellie for emotional support. She had practiced with her mother many times and had begun to actually view the sunny redhead as her mother, but Hades was busy and she had been under the impression she would learn his powers from Hecate. However, he had wanted to spend time with his daughter and offered his help.
It wasn't that she had something against him, it was just that she was...nervous. He was Hades, Lord of the Underworld. He's had control since he was created, but Bella is still a wreck. Her emotions still aren't stable, they've been heightening more and more as the months move. It's been a year since her transition but anyone that met her would think she was new and she hated it. It made her feel more insecure and she hated that she couldn't talk to anybody about that either.
She knew that they would be supportive but kind of like how when people tell depressed people that they just shouldn't be sad and it doesn't cure their depression, having all her friends tell her how hot she is isn't helpful. They assure her that anyone would kill to look like her, but it doesn't change all the years spent looking into the mirror and wishing to change every single part of herself. So she pretends things are fine and tries not to get sucked under.
Deciding that her thoughts are far too depressing, she turns to her best friend. "So what's it like sleeping with Kol?"
"What?!" Ellie shouts out in surprise. She looks at her best friend in shock. The blonde had been meticulous in hiding her affair with the youngest male Mikaelson. She left his room after, making sure nobody was around, they never touched each other while others were present, and he even attempted to avoid being around her so as not to arouse suspicion, yet here was Bella, talking about it as if it were front-page news.
"You know, are you guys like dating, or is it casual?" She prompts and Ellie sighs.
"How did you even know?"
"Umm because you leave his room smelling like sex and I can see you're essence on each other."
"That sounds creepy."
"You're telling me. My ability to read auras apparently comes from Hecate's magic so the more control over that I get, the more I can see in people's auras. It also makes it harder to not see them. Was it meant to be a secret?"
"Did you tell anyone?"
"Only Klaus. I figured you'd already told Kat."
"I didn't tell anyone. It's just a casual thing. He's been in a coffin for almost two centuries, he was horny and he's not unattractive."
"You're stuck on what Aphrodite said about the whole soulmate thing, aren't you?"
"Of course I am. Who just springs something like that on someone with no explanation and then leaves?"
"Gods," she tells her as they step into the clearing.
"Ah, she's here!" Hades exclaims, startling Bella slightly before she sends him a shy smile. "And who is this?"
"Hades," she starts before clearing her throat. "Dad, this is Elenor Salvatore, one of my best friends."
"Ah, yes, Hermes and Hecate have kept me informed and Aphrodite has mentioned her. You, Elenor Salvatore, have something in common with our little flower."
