POV: Ashlyn

Soccer practice ran long today, Mom is going to kill me. I was supposed to finish my chores before she got home. Oh well. I pull up into the driveway, hoping to see my sisters Sydney and Lauren abusing Hunter. Lord that poor kid, between my sisters and his twin sister Scarlett, he didn't stand a chance.

"Come on you two, leave poor Hunter alone. You know at some point he will be taller than both of you." I say walking towards the house. I look up and see Scarlett sitting in our tree house, leaning against the railing. I put my bags down, and walk over, climbing the few feet up. Dropping down beside her, I pull her into a hug.

"Hey Scarly, when did you get home?" I asked.

Leaning her head against my shoulder. "Last night." she said.

"What's wrong Scar?" I asked, wrapping my arm around her.

"Ash, can I ask you something?" She said, refusing to meet my eyes.

"Scarlett Ingrid, you know you can ask me anything sweetie," I said, smiling at her.

"Do you think, do you think I'm pretty?" She asked quietly.

I softly grasp her chin in my hand, making her look at me. "Scarlett, you are absolutely beautiful. You have the most beautiful green eyes, that cute nose, and the prettiest lips I have ever seen." I said softly to her.

"Ash, you're just saying that cause you're one of my best friends." She said, sniffling.

"What happened, Scar, who made you feel like this?" I asked.

"This boy at school, Jake Peters. I really liked him, and he said he liked me too, but today I saw him with Olivia, and they are boyfriend and girlfriend. I just, UGH!!!" She groaned, next to me.

"Scarlett, listen to me. One day, you're gonna have men and women lined up wanting to date you, kiss you, and marry you, and you won't remember Jake or Olivia." I said.

She blushes beside me, smiling. "You're biased," she says, grinning and nudging me.

"That I am. Trust me Scar, one day you're gonna be a famous actress, and everyone is gonna love you." I said, nudging her back.

"I love you Ash," she said, hugging me.

"I love you too Scarlett," I replied.

Lord those green eyes, they are gonna be my downfall one of these days. I thought to myself.

Pretty sure that's the day I fell in love with Scarlett Johansson.

Current Date: April 19th, 2019 - Endgame Premiere and After Party

As the new Head of Legal for Marvel Studios, I was expected to attend the premiere and after party for Avengers: Endgame, but I found a loophole. I called Kevin Feige, letting him know I would be late. I was in the Hamptons visiting my ailing father and mother. He was sympathetic and understood.

The truth is, I didn't want to see her. I knew I was going to have to face her at some point, but not at the premiere, and not with her boyfriend on her arm.

My flight landed and the waiting car took me straight to the premiere. The red carpet was over, and I was able to slip in without being seen. I found my old friend Cobie and slid into a seat next to her, startling her. I smiled and winked at her, and she leaned into me, whispering.

"I thought you weren't gonna make it?"

"Turns out I did," I whispered back. We watched the movie in silence, Cobie laying her head on my shoulder as we watched. "Where's Tarin," I whispered to her.
