Ash's POV
I woke up feeling a weight on my chest, looking down at the blonde headed women sleeping peacefully. I softly moved the hairs from her face, caressing her cheek. She smiled in her sleep, shifting to get closer to me. Slowly her eyes fluttered open, revealing those stunning green eyes. Oh how they sparkled.
"Good morning," She said, her raspy voice a little raspier this morning.
"Good morning, my love." I replied. "Are you comfy?"
"Mmmhmmm, you're warm, and oh so cuddly. I love waking up in your arms." she said. :What time is it?"
"Little after 7, why?" I asked.
"I have to pick up Rose at 10 from her Father. He is flying back to France today. Ash, would you like to meet Rose?"
"I, um, yes, I would, but are you ok with her meeting me?" I asked, slightly nervous.
"Oh Ash, she already knows about you."
"What, How?!?"
She sits up, straddling my hips. "Because I told her about you. When I was pregnant with her, I would talk to my stomach and tell her stories of us as kids. Then, once she was born, I continued telling her, I called you my Guardian Angel. She would hold your necklace while I told her stories. When Chris and I did the USO tour, she was with us, and she was obsessed with everyone in uniform. She would ask me if "Guardian Ashy" was there and I told her you always watched over us." she sniffled and looked up at me, tears streaming down her face.
"Scar, baby, it's OK. I'm right here." I said, as I wrapped my arms around her pulling her into my chest. I kissed the top of her head, as she sniffled into my neck. "Scar, why did you never try to find me?"
She looked up at me and laughed. "Lizzie asked me the same thing, and so did Lo, and I told them both my heart couldn't handle the truth if I found out you didn't come home. I was terrified."
"I thought Hunter told you he saw me?"
"He did, after I confronted my Mother. I was so mad at him and Adrian. I cannot believe they kept that from me."
I smiled at the memory of seeing the brothers outside the show.
"Why are you smiling?" she asked.
"Just thinking of that night, Adrian didn't believe Hunter. I watched them for a few minutes till my car came, then I saw you walk out. You looked stunning."
She smiled at me. "God I wish I had seen you that night."
"Everything happens for a reason, my love. It wasn't our time."
"Ash, do you have your dress blues?"
"Um, I do, why?"
"Will you wear them to meet Rose?"
"Of course." I laughed. "Come on, let's take a nice hot shower, and then go pick up Rose."
I came out of my closet fully dressed in my formal dress uniform, hair perfectly done, makeup light and on point, hat in hand. I looked up to see Scarlett standing in my door, mouth open. "Keep it in your pants Johansson, we gotta go." As I walked past her, she grabbed the front of my jacket and pulled me into a passionate kiss, sliding her tongue directly into my mouth. Instinctively I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her against me. I pulled back, lightly biting her bottom lip. "We have to go, love. There will be time for this later."
I took her by the hand and led her out of the building to the waiting car, Scarlett giving my driver the address. When we arrived at the hotel her ex-husband was staying at, she asked me to wait in the lobby. I leaned against the wall, observing everyone around me.
