Chapter 37 - Two Lines...

POV: Scarlett

We have been back in Atlanta for almost three weeks now. Ash has healed nicely, and has gone back to work. Kevin has been keeping her busy with all of the upcoming phases, and Jack has asked her to look at a few things while she is here.

I am currently relaxing in my trailer on set, when I hear a knock at my door.

"Come in." I said, looking up from my script. "Oh hey Florence, are we ready?"

"No, I just thought I would come see how you were feeling. You looked a little green earlier."

"Oh, thank you. I am fine now. It comes and goes. Actually, I think I may have come down with something. I thought it was stress from everything with Ash and Alex, but I just feel drained all the time, and nauseous at the oddest times." I said, looking down at my script

"Um, Scarlett, pardon my asking, but when was your last cycle, love?"

"Um," I said looking at Flo, and then it hit me. "Oh my God."

"Scar, are you pregnant?"

I looked at Florence, a slight blush creeping up. "I wouldn't be surprised if I was, to be honest. Ash and I go at it like rabbits. I had my IUD removed back in April when Colin and I had talked about having kids, and then Ash came back. Shit, I need a test. How long do we have before we need to be back on set?"

"Ten minutes, maybe?"

I immediately called Lizzie. "Hey, are you busy?" I asked quickly.

"No, we just wrapped for the day, and I am heading to the store to get stuff to make for dinner. What do you need?"

"Can you run to the pharmacy and get me a pregnancy test?"

"Oh my God." she squealed.

"LIZZIE!!! Quiet! I don't want the world to know before I tell Ash, that is if I am even pregnant."

"Ok, I will run to the pharmacy near the set and be back in a flash. I will let you know when I am at your trailer." she said hanging up.

Another knock on my door. "You're needed on set." someone said.

"We are coming." Florence said as we headed out.

POV: Ash

"Uncle Jack, are you positive? I have been over this contract with a fine tooth comb. There are no loopholes, and no out. Our contracts are rock solid, and they have in no way violated anything. Have they given a particular reason?"

"None that I can see. Will you be available for a conference call later this week?"

"Yes, just add the meeting to my calendar, and I will make sure to be available."

"How is Alex these days?"

"She is doing good. She has been walking, doing her strength training, she'll see the doctor tomorrow, so I am sure they will release her."

"That's good to hear, listen, I have a meeting. I will get the other meeting on the calendar, and be in touch."

"Bye Uncle Jack."

"Bye Ashlyn."

I closed my laptop and rubbed my eyes. I love what I do, but some of these people want to test my patience. I looked at the clock, and wondered what we were going to do for dinner. Both Lizzie and Scarlett are on set today, and Alex and Rose are outside in the pool.

We had a small birthday party for Rose's 5th birthday over the weekend, and Scarlett's Mom and Dad came, along with my parents, Lauren and the girls, even some of the Marvel cast came over.
