Ladies and Gents... welcome to THOSE AMBER EYES. I would like to thank/Blame @MsNightOwl0327  for all this. She gave me the idea and all the details for Ashlyn, our second main character.

So Here We Go....

End Game Premiere After Party

April 26th, 2019

POV: Scarlett

Marvel After Parties were something to wonder at, filled with actors and producers, even some upper level executives as well. The party was in full swing as the DJ threw on some 2000s hits. Lizzie and I were quite drunk at this point, having had some harder liquor, before settling on champagne. The two of us found ourselves in a small corner of the party, watching the people around us slowly get more and more drunk.

"So what's next for you? After Black Widow that is." Lizzie asked, taking another sip of her drink.

"I don't really know..." I admitted, looking out at the crowd. I loved to watch people at these events. Seeing everyone and how they interacted was so interesting. "I think I am just going to relax for a bit. Colin wants to get married, but I just... I don't know."

"Do you love him?"

I sighed, before something in the crowd caught my eye. A pair of eyes, so familiar, yet unknown at the same time. I flinched a bit, knowing the person I wanted them to belong to, was not here. I hadn't realized that I had paled so much, until Lizzie spoke up again.

"You ok, Scar? You are looking quite... pale." Lizzie's voice drew me from the eyes.

I looked at my co-star and nodded, before looking back to the eyes. They were nowhere to be seen. I frowned, as the lyrics of the current song hit me.

"In another life

I would be your girl

We'd keep all our promises

Be us against the world

In another life

I would make you stay

So I don't have to say you were

The one that got away..."

"Fitting..." I whispered more to myself than anyone else, bringing my leg up into my lap, my fingers brushing over an old, somewhat faded tattoo. I began to trace the fading ink, missing the person I had gotten it for.

"What... the song?" Lizzie asked as I drained my drink. "Are you ok?"

"I just thought I saw someone... It's fine. I'm fine." I made to stand up, only to fall backwards for a second. I made it to my feet on my second attempt. "I am going to grab something from the bar. Do you want a refill?"

She looked at me for a moment, before standing as well. "I'll go with you."

"Suit yourself." I took a breath. We only spent another hour or so there, before heading back to the hotel. Lizzie ended up crashing in my room, not really willing to go down the hall to her own room.

Morning brought a headache and blurry eyes, but my chest hurt too. A hole in my heart that would never be filled. I climbed out of bed, pulling myself from Lizzie's grip. I grabbed my bag and pulled out my wallet. Inside was a small photo, folded and worn from years of being shoved in pockets and wallets. I traced the two faces in the picture, sighing softly. I was lost in thought and didn't realize that I was no longer sitting on the floor alone.
