Chapter 38 - Club 21

 

Shai POV -

We rock up to Club 21, Zoe, Miles and I, and straight away are met with sweaty bodies rubbing against the other sex, trying to get some for the night. The dance floor is full, and the bar has a few empty spaces.

Looks like Club 21 is good.  

“Did you say you wanted to get drunk tonight?” Miles shouts over the music.

I smile. “Hells yes, I did.”

He grins and grabs mine and Zoe’s hands before dragging us over to the bar. “Yeah, mate, give us a round of vodka shots, then tequila shots, please,” he tells the bartender.

“In for a good one then,” the bartender laughs as he serves us our vodka shots.

We knock them back without the lemon or salt. Just plain vodka shots.

Next, the tequila comes out. We do the same with the vodka shots, and just knock them back.

I have already started to forget about the days’ events.

“Heyy,” I slur, starting to become tipsy after a few more rounds. “C-Can I have a-nother round o-of s-s-shots?” I ask, hiccupping along the way.

The bartender smiles and pours us six more drinks, two for each of us.

I knock my drinks back easy, but then I look to Miles and Zoe and see they haven’t touched theirs. “G-guys, I thought we were getting drunk tonight?” I pout.

“We have to keep an eye on you. We can’t all be drunk,” Miles says.

“Zoooooeeeee,” I drag out. “Come and dance with me?” I giggle.

Zoe gets up, and we make our way to the dance floor. I start swaying my hips to the music, Zoe too, and two guys makes their way over to us.

One of the guys has blond hair and looks pretty buff. “Hey, beautiful,” he smiles, placing a hand on my hip.

The other guy goes over to Zoe and starts dancing with her, but not touching her.

I grab the guys hand and take it off my hip. “I-I’m t-taken,” I say. Even though I have a lying, cheating husband, I am still married.

The guy grins. “I don’t see your man anywhere.”

Just as I am about to reply, Miles comes over. “Alright, hands off her.” He looks like he is puffing his chest out.
