Shai pov -

After spending the afternoon cuddling with my husband, I decide it's time to get up and start making dinner for us and his parents.

"Babe, what do you want for dinner?" I ask, looking into the pantry.

"Lasagne or pasta? I don't know," Theo replies. I hear his footsteps coming closer and then I feel his hands on my hips, and his chin on the top of my head. "Cook anything."

"What do you parents like? I've never cooked for them..."

He turns me around in his arms, and I rest my hands on his broad chest. "They will like anything, to be honest. Dad will eat anything in front of him, and Mum is the same. The only thing they don't eat is Brussel sprouts."

"Okay," I sigh, burying my face in his chest and breathing in his scent.

"Did you just smell me?" he laughs, sounding weirded out.

"No." My voice is muffled by his clothes. I take another deep breath and then pull out of his embrace to get started on dinner.

Theo raises an eye brow at me. "Really? Because it's totally fine if you did, I mean I know I smell amazing." He says cockily.

"Shut up." I reply, rolling my eyes and turning on the stove. I quickly spray the pan and put the meat in.

"Do you want any help, Shai?" Theo asks, leaning against the kitchen counter.

"Can you get the lasagne sheets out of the fridge please? And then put them in hot water?"

"Of course." Theo replies.

As he is getting the stuff out of the fridge, I grab some spices from the pantry and sprinkle some in the meat, after pouring some pasta sauce in the pan.

"Hi," Theo's parents call out as they walk into the kitchen, Theo trailing behind.

"Hello. How are you?"

"Good, how are you? Do you need any help?" his mother asks.

"Oh, no it's okay. I'm nearly finished," I smile, grabbing four plates from the cupboard.

Theo and his father are talking at the table, while his mother and I are talking in the kitchen.

"Shailene," she says.

"Yes."

 "I'm sorry."

"Excuse me? What are you sorry for?"

"The way I acted when Theo and you came to England. It was rude of me, and I usually don't do that. It's just, with Ruth - his last girlfriend – at the first sign of trouble, she would cause more conflict. Now I didn't mean for Theo to say all of those things to you. I didn't mean for any of it to happen. I'm so sorry," she says sincerely.

"Oh, no, it's completely okay. I mean, Theo and I are together, and everything is perfectly fine. I guess I could thank you for doing it because it brought Theo and I closer. I mean, the day he came to find me, he proposed, and now we are married. So thank you," I return her smile, and she pulls me into an embrace.

"You are the best thing to ever happen to him."

After talking for a while, we all sit down for dinner.

"So, Champ, when are you and your beautiful lady going to give me some grandbabies?" Theo's dad says randomly.

I choke on the food in my mouth, not expecting him to ask.
