Shai pov –

Do you ever get that feeling of needing attention? Those moments where you crave for attention? No matter how many times they talk to you, it just isn’t enough?

…Well, that’s how I am tonight.

Theo and I are both sitting on the couch, and I know this sounds so selfish of me, but I just want his attention.  He has his glasses on and is on his iPad. He is dressed in a black shirt, and grey sweats.

It’s been a few weeks since we have gotten back from our honeymoon, and I must say, I love being married to this man. He treats me like a queen, cooks breakfast for me, and gives me the best massages. I truly love him, and I don’t think I will ever not.

“Theo,” I huff, bored and wanting his attention. I stretch my legs out on the couch, and his hands drops onto one. His thumb rubs small circles on my calf.

“Yes?” he replies, not taking his eyes of his iPad.

“Did you know, a pig’s orgasm lasts for up to thirty minutes?”

“What?” he says in disbelieve as he removes his eyes from the screen to look at me. “Where in the world did that come from?”

I shrug. “I don’t know. It’s a fun fact,” I grin.

He rolls his eyes and turns back to his screen, muttering something about me being weird.

“Fun fact,” I whisper after a few moments of silence. “Reindeer like to eat bananas.”

He doesn’t respond.

“Fun fact….There is approximately one chicken for every human being in the world.”

“That’s nice, honey,” he says, distantly.

I shall try again.

“Fun fact… A pregnant gold fish is called a twit.” I stare at him, waiting for his reaction.

He ‘hmmm’s in response. He doesn’t care. I need a new way of gaining his attention.

“Theo,” I whine. “What are you doing on your iPad?” I ask. I curl my toes to go into the pocket of his sweats and I pull at them, gaining his attention.

“Shai,” he mocks me. “I am reading and sending emails. What are you doing?” he replies.

Trying to gain your attention because I’m bored and I want your attention. “Nothing,” I shrug. “… Whatcha reading?”
