Chapter 48 - Baby-ing around

So, I'm just trying things out and I'm going to write this chapter in third person P.O.V.... let me know how it goes ?

Third Person's Point of View:

Few months later

It's been a few months since Theo had his appendix out, and since his parents told them about his sister being pregnant with her third child.

Theo and Shailene, upon hearing the news that Kathrine had gone into labour, decided that they were going to fly out to England and be there when the kid was born. They didn't know if it was going to be a boy or a girl, all they knew was that they needed to get on a flight to England immediately if they were going to be there in time.

So here they were. Shailene hugging her knees to her chest, curled under her husband's arm on a very uncomfortable aeroplane seat.

"Babe?" Shailene speaks softly, not wanting other people on the plane to hear her; notice her. So far, only one teenage girl had noticed her and that was when she was in the restroom. Shailene had been going toilet a lot lately, but of course, Theo didn't even notice it. She hadn't been drinking any more or any less, and nothing in her diet had changed.

"Yeah?" Theo answered just as quiet, looking down at her, smiling.

The love he had for his wife was incredible. Theodore, being the philosophical man he was, believed that the world had set them up; that they were soul mates. Shailene is the ying to Theo's yang; the apple to his pie; the moon to his night sky, and the sun to his warm summer's day.

"I think I'm ready to start a family..." Shailene had been thinking about his ever since Theo's parents said something about having grandbabies.

It was constantly on her mind, and every time she heard a baby cry or a little boy say 'momma', she would picture her baby crying and her little boy calling out for her while Theo was tickling and playing with him. She pictured what it would be like to raise a family with Theo - would he be different as a father? Would they still spend their nights together? Would he love them unconditionally, even if they had a disability? She could see him sitting in a nursery, on a wooden rocking chair, holding their little bundle of joy in his big arms.

"What?" Theo nearly chokes. He has been waiting for the day they got married for Shailene to say that. "You're ready t-to start....a family? With me?"

"Why are you so shocked?" Shailene gets slightly offended. She pulls away from under Theo's arm and sits by the window, further away from him.

"I'm not shocked, just incredibly happy. I would love to have a family with you!" He takes her hand in his and brings it up to his mouth, kissing each knuckle gently and slowly. "I'm sorry if I sounded shocked, I was just surprised you said it now, on the plane."

"ATTENTION ALL PASSENGERS. THE SEAT BELT SIGN HAS NOW BEEN TURNED ON. IF YOU COULD ALL FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELTS AS WE ARE PREPARING FOR LANDING." The pilot said over the intercom.

After they landed, Theo hailed a taxi to take them back to his parent's place.

Shailene was a bit nervous, going back to the place where her and her husband had their biggest flight. Although she knew it wouldn't happen again, she was still weary about going back.

Shai linked hands with Theo as they walked into his own home in England. It was a single storey home with seven rooms, and three bathrooms. It was massive. There was a double car garage and a large backyard with a swimming pool.

Theo sat on the edge of his bed and brought Shailene in between his legs, tugging at her hand. He gently kissed her stomach and then looked up at her. "So beautiful," he mumbled to her

She blushed and ran her hands through his hair, repeatedly. "I love you," she silently said.

Theo gently pulled his wife by the hips to straddle his lap. She giggled as he placed his lips on her collar bone, sucking it harshly. If she was ready to have his child, then he was ready to start trying right now. He made his way up her neck and to her lips, claiming them in a heated kiss that left them both breathless.

"Theo," Shai moans, fisting his hair and pulling, causing him to groan in pleasure.

"Let's start trying right now." he mumbles, biting her lip and pulling at it.

"W-we c-ca-can't," Shai tries. "Kath is having her baby, and we have to babysit Timothy and Jackson."

Ryan, Kathy's husband, had messaged Theo, asking if they could look after Timothy and Jackson while Kath was in labour. Shailene, of course, had told Theo to say yes straight away. So now they were left with the task of babysitting for his nephews.

Shai has always had a way with children, so when Timothy and Jackson got dropped off by Theo's parents, on the way through, they instantly took a liking to her. Timothy, the oldest of the two, had instantly started talking Shai's ear off as she picked up Jackson and walked him inside. She sat down with Jackson in her lap, sucking on his thumb, and Timothy next to her on the couch.

"And, and, the other day, Lilly told me she loved-ded me and then we kisseded." Timothy went on and on and on.

Shailene laughed as he kept rambling. She looked down at a nearly asleep Jackson in her arms.

"Uncle Feo, can I have some juice, pwease?" Timothy asked.

Theo lifted him up in his arms and Timothy instantly started laughing like a maniac, causing Jackson to start crying.

"Let's go find some juice!" Theo half-yelled-half-laughed.

Shailene stood and started to gently rock Jackson back to sleep. She walked out of the living room into a small bedroom with a bay window, bed and a desk. She stood by the window and rocked her arms back and forth.

'If Theo acts like that around Timothy, he will be a fantastic dad' she thought to herself, looking out into the green field surrounding the house. 'I cannot wait to have a child with Theo'.

After getting Timothy a juice box, Theo set him down in front of the T.V and put on Thomas The Tank. He then went in search for his wife, and in the second bedroom he looked, he found her in all her beauty. She was swaying slowly back and forth, just looking out the window with a small smile spread across her face. Her eyes were closed and the bright light from outside made her look like an angel.  Theo quietly took out his phone and snapped a picture of her, freezing her beauty into his phone. He knew he would be setting that as his new lock screen picture.

Theo walked over to his wife and wrapped his arms around her from behind. She jumped a little, but then sunk back into his chest.

"You have no idea what you do to me, do you?" Theo asked, a smile playing on his features. "You, standing there, with him," he nodded down towards the baby, and then places his hands on Shai's, "look so beautiful. I just want you to be pregnant already." Theo's voice was so sincere, it made Shai's eyes water slightly and her knees weaken at his words.

"I can't wait for this, Theo. Us having a baby..." It was true. Shailene couldn't wait.

Little did they know, that there was already one growing inside of her.
