A/N - guys, i was feeling really bitchy last night when i wrote this at 12am hahaha ....Sorry in advance but i will make it up to you ...i think.

Hope you like it ...... :P

Shai POV –

“Mom. I have to tell you something,” I squeak.

“What, dear? What is it?” she replies over the phone.

“Is Tanner there? I want to tell him too.”

“TANNER!” I hear mom call out through the phone. I hear a distant ‘yeah’ and then I hear footsteps. “Okay, Shailene. He is here,” mom says to me.

“Can he hear me? Am I on loudspeaker, Ma?” I ask.

“Yeah, Shai. What’s up?” Tanner says.

“Guys….Theo proposed,” I say excitedly.

“HE WHAT?” they both reply kind of angry.

“He proposed to me. We are getting engaged,” I reply less excited. “Are you both not happy?”

“No, no we are. It’s just….we heard something,” Tanner says.

“Yeah, what?”

“We, uhh, heard that he recently slept with Ruth and that he proposed to her before you,” Tanner continues.

BULLSHIT. I CALL BULLSHIT. YOU ARE LYING. LYING IS BAD. DON’T LIE, TANNER.

“I don’t need your bullshit, guys. If you don’t like Theo then you should tell me and not make up shit about him. He is who I am going to marry, you guys aren’t. You don’t have to like him, but at least don’t make up some bullshit excuse. Guys, it is my choice, not yours. Bye.” And with that, I hang up and slam the phone down.

“Ugggghhhhhhh,” I groan in frustration, putting my head in my hands and my elbow on the counter top.

Theo walks into the kitchen and sits next to me at the counter. “What’s wrong, babe?” he asks, placing a hand on the small of my back.

“Nothing. It’s nothing. Just stupid shit,” I reply with my head still in my hands. The bottom of my palm against my eyes and my fingers in my hair. “It’s nothing,” I sigh out.

Theo turns the stool to face him, causing my hands to drop from my face. “It’s clearly not nothing,” he says. “What’s wrong, Shailene?”

“Theodore, I said it was nothing. Can you please just drop it?” I say, getting up off the stool. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
