Theo POV –
Pain - it feels like my abdomen is burning, and someone is stabbing me, continuously.
My eyes snap open and I look down to where the pain is. Shailene has her bloody arm draped across my stomach, her hand on my surgery wound.
I hiss in pain as Shailene tightens her grip on my stomach, pressing her fingers into the wound. I gently grab her hand (while gritting my teeth from the pain), and move it to my chest. She instantly fists my shirt, stirring for only a moment before she falls back to sleep. I dip my head and press a kiss onto her forehead.

"Oh, look at them! They are so cute!" a familiar voice squeaks.
I peel my eyes away from Shai's sleeping form to look up at my mother and father.
"Hi," I croak out, my voice hoarse form misuse the past few hours.
"Hi? I haven't seen you since your wedding and now you are in the hospital and all I get is a 'hi'?" my lovely mother snaps, walking closer to me.
"Hello, Mother, dearest. How are you? How have you been? What have you been up to? How is England? How was your flight?" I start questioning her, smirking slightly. My voice is croaking, but I keep it lowered because Shai is asleep.
Dad laughs. "Hey, Champ. How are you feeling?" he says, his accent thick. He has called me 'Champ' after I won a running race when I was six. I don't remember a time when he hasn't called me that.
Sometimes I really miss England. I miss the smell of the outside air, the friendly people, the accents, being close to my family...everything, really. But, Shailene is my family now, and I am going to start a family with her, having children run around the house.
"It's painful, but I'm okay," I pause, looking at Shai. "I'll get by."
"You guys are just the cutest! When are you going to have children, Theodore?" Mum asks, sitting in the chair that Shai was before she came and slept in the bed with me.
"Mum," I groan.
"Honey, the boy just got out of surgery, leave him alone," dad sticks up for me.
"Thanks, paps." I smirk, knowing he hates it when I call him that.
A few seconds later, Shai stats to stir in my arms. She starts to stretch, moving her hand that was on my chest down my stomach, putting pressure on my wound again. It all happens so fast I don't have time to move.
I yelp out in pain, squirming under her. I move my body away from her hand, but that causes me more pain. I grit my teeth, groaning and shut my eyes tightly.
