The music starts and the maid of honour and the best man both walk down the aisle together. Her maid of honour, her best friend, is dressed in a navy blue, floor length gown. His best man, his brother, is dressed in a white button shirt, black dress pants, a tie matching her maid of honour and a black blazer.

The next couple to walk down the aisle is her brother and his sister. They are both dressed like the first couple. Her brother is one of his two groomsmen, and his sister is one of his two bride’s maids.

As the music plays, he walks out. Making his way up the aisle, he stops at the first row of chairs, where all of their family sit, his on the right, and hers on the left, following tradition. He goes to his parents, hugging both his mother and father, then he does the same to her mother. He then goes and stands at the altar, waiting for his beautiful wife-to-be.

A few moments later, the French double doors at the back of the room open and she walks down the aisle in her white wedding dress. The dress is a silk, floor length, white dress that defines her figure.

He smiles at her, a few tears escaping his eyes. He doesn’t wipe them off, instead he lets them run freely down his cheeks, not caring how he looks, as the biggest smile appears on his face.

She has her arm linked through her dads. She hasn’t seen her dad in a while, but a father-daughter connection never disappears. She was always Daddy’s little girl. She knew she was, and she had him tied around her little finger.

“He really loves you, munchkin,” her father says softly, in her ear as they walk to the altar.

“I really love him, dad,” she replies.

Once they reach the altar, her father kisses her cheek and then her forehead, whispering how proud he is of her. She turns and looks at her mother. Her mother is smiling, a proud mother smile, and subtly nods her head. She turns to the altar and takes in him.

Her smile widens as she cannot stop thinking about what the rest of their lives will be like.

The way he looks in his wedding tux, with the white shirt, black bow tie, black vest and blazer….Simply amazing.

He walks down the single step to her. She smiles at him as he says, “You look stunning. I can’t wait till you are my wife.”

She walks closer to him, taking his hand in hers, entwining their fingers. “I have been waiting for this day my whole life,” she admits, smiling like a Cheshire cat.

The soon-to-be married couple walks up the single step to the altar were the celebrant is waiting, patiently, to start the ceremony.

“Dearly beloved,” the celebrant starts. “We are gathered here today to celebrate two people coming together as one.”

She stares at him, and he stares right back at her. They are both ignoring the celebrant and the crowd as they stare off into each other’s eyes.

They are both brought out of their world when the celebrant speaks, “May we have the vows, please.” The celebrant is looking at him, signalling him to go first.

He looks at his beautiful wife-to-be, standing in front of him. His smile hasn’t left his face. He reaches into his blazer pocket and pulls out a card. “I wrote mine down, but I don’t need them anymore,” he speaks, throwing the card in the air.

The crowd laughs, and he takes both of her hands in his. “I have loved you since the day I met you. I take you, from this day forth, to love and cherish for the rest of my life; to have and to hold, in better or for worse, for rich or poor. I will be with you no matter what this crazy life throughs at us. I vow to love you in every form. I vow to get rid of all the spiders that may come and scare you. I promise to always take care of you, support the decisions you make in life, and to always love you. I vow to always be you Four.”

She is mentally thanking her mother for using waterproof make-up, as his words caused tears to her eyes. Her smile grows wider at his words. The celebrant signals for her to start, and so she does.

“I…” she pauses, wiping her tears away and looking up into her soon-to-be husbands eyes. “I have loved you from the moment I laid my eyes on you. I knew you were the one for me; my soulmate, the one I would love until after death. I take you, from this day forth, to have and to hold, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, no matter what happens. I promise to be with you for the rest of our lives, supporting you and cherishing our time together. I vow to always love you, even when you annoy me.” The crowd laughs, and so does he. “I vow to always help you and love you, even when you don’t want any help. I vow to always be your Six.” She finishes.

By the end of her vows, the crowd (both their families and friends) have tears in their eyes. Both him and her have tears trailing down their face, and as if in time with each other, they both reach out to wipe away the other’s tears.

“Wow….” The Celebrant says, pausing for a moment, totally speechless with their vows. “Do we have the rings?”

His best man hands the groom her ring, and her maid of honour hands the bride his ring.

After the bride and groom slide the rings onto each other’s fingers, they take each other’s hands, stepping closer.

The celebrant speaks out, “You may now kiss the bride.”

He doesn’t need to be told twice, as he wraps his arms around her and gently presses his lips to hers, dipping her back slightly in the process. She responds immediately, wrapping her hands around his neck and locking them there. One of his hands cups her cheek while the other is resting on her hip.

They both pull back at the same time, resting their foreheads on each other’s.

“I love you,” they both say with a smile.

The celebrant turns to the crowd of family and friends. “I now pronounce to you Mister and Missus Taptiklis.” The crowd cheers for the newly-wed couple.
